i had a great time. Great job on role playing guys, even though some of the players that haven't dealt with that kind of unknown on the field were going crazy and just shooting you, I have nothing else to say. Tex, Big Boss, It was a blast. I especially liked stealing all your gold all day under your nose

I had a great time even though I was only able to play for the first half due to my ride having blood sugar problems. I liked the whole trade-in-gold-for-weapons-thing and it was "fun" carrying the bomb up the ridge under enemy fire. I'd have to say that the Piper's leadership was great and the communication we had was superb. I will be expecting action pictures and video. Also every time I was in the village, I could hear the infamous " Disco, disco, disco!"

I don't know about pictures, but I know a lot of video was taken. Jager will likely take at least a few weeks to sort through it all, but hopefully I can scratch together a rough edit of it by the end of the week depending on the amount of free time I have outside of work. I appreciate the constructive criticism and was honestly really disappointed in how the second half turned out in terms of how it went on my end. I had a bunch of objectives, but it just seemed like I couldn't give them out since it turned into a stalemate with my poor choice of the airfield spawn. I'll be sure to never do that one again, it's just too far away from the field and the ridge overlooking it has much too big of an advantage. So, I apologize for the second half, it just wasn't what I wanted. I tried to fix the spawn without just pausing the game, and rather working it into an objective, but in the future I think I'll just call for a seize fire and reset everything. I learned actually quite a bit more than I thought I would from running this one, a lot of little difficulties kept presenting themself for me as an event host. I really didn't want one team to get steam rolled, and so I had to toss out some objectives that would have been entirely too easy for tan to accomplish. And in doing so, kinda negated any objectives that green had the opportunity to attempt. I'll definitely figure something out to make sure that doesn't happen again, as I was really mad at myself for letting the second half get away from me. I had a really fun time role playing, and thought it would be a nice change of pace for people, to have some role players who would get really into it, even if we couldn't decide on a region of the world to all be from. I think I used like 5 different accents throughout the day, sometimes changing mid sentence. I would really like to encorporate some more role players like this, but with a more objective based game type, I think that would make for a very fun and enjoyable game. I went for a longshot on a completely different style event than what I'm used to running and it was pretty successful for the most part, with a bit of a flop towards the end, but I'm certain you will all be very happy with the next event I throw, and you'll be sure to not only see, but interact and use more props in the future, we've already got some plans to build an artillery cannon and some mortar tubes, and hopefully, if the funds are there, the carcass of a downed chopper. Thank you for everyone's sportsmanship and for attending. There were a few small incidents, but they were all dealt with quickly and without too much of an issue at all. That speaks miles for everyone who attended, it's players like you that make me want to spend as much time as I do trying to get these things organized and building all the little things out there on the field. I also met a lot of new faces, and you were all great guys, I seemed to have forgotten how nice it is to just meet new down to earth guys and shoot the shit with them. Again, thanks to all who attended, and I promise a better second half next time . Oh, and I can't wait to win tons of stuff from TEST's raffle at their event this fall, they so owe me! I'll post an update here when the Evike package comes in the mail, still haven't even gotten an email or phone call back from them, hopefully that happens soon, and someone gets a happy present on their doorstep. Also, thank you to Chaseman and Canto for their donations to the raffle. Chaseman tossed in 3 MagGuards and Canto also donated 4 bags of 4,000 bb's, it was a generous offer by them and much appreciated by everyone.

Well, everything was pretty much said so I wont repeat it. I just want to say that it was great to get back out there and see everyone again; TEST, FLAK, RATS, OCA, Fishies, and everyone else. Nice to see Easy again and nice to meet some of the Immortal guys as well.
Good game, great company, worth the time.

I had a lot of fun yesterday, role playing was something that I've never done before, and it was a great time, even though Dingo almost tricked me into my own demise, that bastard. I definitely noticed a breakdown in communication and all around organization amongst the green team when I was role playing. The tan team did a great job of using their squads, and using the direction of their commander to their advantage. The only squad that I really noticed working together effectively for the green team, was TEST (albeit I was in a centralized location for the first half of the game and couldn't see all of the green team at once). They did a great job of working together and completing objectives early, but in the end tan team did this all game with all their squads. The second half of the day saw me with the woodland side, as they definitely needed some assistance. Thank you to Marshy (Not to be confused with Miles ) for letting me use your SPR, it was great having a long range weapon in my hands again. Thank you to Kiki for letting me use your blouse, thank you to Ghast's friend (Didn't catch your name unfortunately) for letting me use your goggles. A big thanks to Timm for letting me use your gun and mags and vest, definitely helped me out man, much love. Easy it was very nice meeting you, and thank you very much for letting me use your Paca, although I didn't get shot but once in the goggles and once in the arm, it was comforting to know that even fake armor is useful to provide protection to my second degree burns. Another thanks goes out to Blindshot for driving, and for food, and for everything since I'm a broke ass. All in all I had a great time, meeting new people and hanging out with old friends. Canto, I hope you enjoy your Doc Goss Multicam pants.

Had a great time this weekend. Thanks Tex, COG, and FLAK for hosting and thanks to all of the players who came out to the game despite the threat of the weather.

I'll definitely figure something out to make sure that doesn't happen again, as I was really mad at myself for letting the second half get away from me. While the first half of the day was rich in compelling objectives and spanglish, nothing really happened objective wise the second half of the day. It turned into "lets sit on our respective ridge lines and chairsoft." It seems like this usually happens at the Bangor field, be it the host's fault or not. The lay of the land forces a stalemate almost instantly; it's been like that every time I've played at this field. On a positive note, the weather and foilage was prime. The humidity, heat, and eventual precipitation created the feel of the Peruvian jungle(That's where we were right?). The 5 foot tall grass and waist deep mud made the map WAY bigger than usual. I spent most of the day either half submerged in mud or getting chopped up by the really sharp grass. Props to all the mods and all the players who came out. DISCO DISCO DISCO!!!!!!

I had a great time at this event, was definitely worth the drive up there. Enjoyed most of the day, rolled my ankle right before lunch, but was able to get back out there after lunch. I agree with most of what people here have said, the first half of the day was pretty epic(no one saw us fuck up right out of the gate, right!?), the second half was good, but could have been a little better for the green guys. To Oakey: Your roleplaying was epic dude, and I'm going to get that stream from you, one way or another, and giving you 20 gold bars for it is not my plan. -Sheriff Sam To Timm(I think, correct me if I'm wrong here): Thanks for the meatshield work protecting our leader, and helping us get our wounded to a medic To Tex: Great job on the event (and the raffle ). Also, next time you give Kev a description, just say "blue hat." Thanks to the phone game, the intel I got was "look for the guy in the blue tigerstripe hat" when oakey was standing 5 feet from me the whole time. P.s. WOLFICORN!!!! edit: Typo, Doh!

The lay of the land forces a stalemate almost instantly; it's been like that every time I've played at this field. Completely agreed. However I really liked how Tex incorporated elements from the MILSIM discussion that we had going on and normally at pretty much every game at Bangor, it ends up just being a fight just to gain control of the villages and everyone just sits and swaps plastic at eachother, which after a while gets boring fast. But with the role players and how the village was set up, it really broke that up. Even though at certain points of the game both sides had to gain control of the village but I was glad that wasn't the only thing to do all day. I'm definitely looking forward to see what you gents have planned for Gridlock.

I loved it when tan got to enter the city near the begining while there was green in there, as we fought them out the civilians decided to turn on us up close, so we iced them quickly. I got killed after I moved up by the guy in green tucked into a small corner, I still have no idea how I didn't see him-nice job dude. Then bakker got the $1 bounty for killing the spider, I have nothing else to say

I have to say this was one hell of an event. I know that TEST has been eagerly anticipating this event for some time now. The 3 hour or so drive up to our farmhouse plus the 30 or so minute drive to the field was well worth it. The beginning of the game was amazing, and I will admit that it was my fault for fucking up the TEST-stack in the first...what...10-15 seconds of the game. The mud made everything harder...it was harder to walk, stand, crawl, shoot...forget running straight at all. The tall grass made for some amazing cover and I was happy to be shooting Tan today. Sure the game slowed down in the second half, but...as Canto said...this field destroys people. I was dirty, soaking wet, smelly, and couldn't stand up straight due to mud in the second half...which contributed to the 'slowed down' quality. I also like to believe that I complain way too much...*raised eyebrow to all those who complained more*
I think Tex, Canto, and all those amazing RP's in the village did an amazing job at what they were meant to do....super props to you. Especially props to the RP in a white button shirt and tan shorts that ended up knife-killing me in the back after I knocked out a bunch of tans from village edge.
I never got the chance to 'work' for Tex for a gold-payroll for green team...that's probably my only regret.
I'd like to think that the #1 best part of the airsoft events are the drive there and the drive back, the #2 best part is the people you meet/see there and the #3 best part is that you actually get to shoot the shit out of your friends...then laugh about it after-wards.
Thank you all for your sportsmanship and thank you all for coming out to make this event so amazing, both players and role-players. It was GREAT to see the Egg-heads and the other team's out there...can't remember all the names (not great short term memory)...but can't wait to see all you guys again. Can't wait for Glass to get up the media, I'm sure it'll be as spectacular as always. Also, if you guys upload some photos, please post them here for us all to see.
Thank you Big-Tex for the Wolficorn on my doors...they are amazing and I've already gotten tons of compliments on them. Props to you...
P.S. I'd like to think the raffle was NOT rigged, we're just that damn lucky.

I couldn't stand up because I could hear you just on the other side, with a few of your teammates approaching behind you. That, and someone was still engaging me from my left. So I just stuck to the inside wall hoping you wouldn't see my feet. If it weren't for the guy pinning me down I would have knifed you, not shot you in the ass. Really coulda used a sidearm there, the AK was a bit clumsy. I think you thought that a Civi shot you initially, because you turned around and said "Hey! That wasn't 5 minutes!" and then you realized where I was.

Thank you Tex for hosting a great game. Regardless of what anyone said I had fun shooting people and shooting the sh@* with people. It's always awesome to roll with my boys Immortal. For some reason I REALLY enjoy shooting team TEST (I think it's because they are so damn good) . Highlight of the day was trying to carry that big a*# case up the ridge with me being the only person on one side and having two on the other. Oh and did I forget to mention while taking fire... Once again Tex thanks for hosting a good game!

I had a great time Tex! Good event, good weather considering the forecast called for on and off THUNDERSTORMS. I enjoy the field even though jumping the damn crick for a fat guy like me is a pain. It was cool seeing T.E.S.T all matching in their gear, its cool to see a team that organized and committed! i keep telling Piper we need to get pink BDUs but he never listens... o well. As far as issues i can safely said i had none! Actually i want to complement everyone on great sportsmanship and communication. I was in city A in a building shooting towards north ridge at people in the deep brush and remarkably I recall seeing some one with a kill rag. Thank you for being honest calling your hit from such a distance! It would be great to see that kind of honesty all the time! Waiting for the next one Tex! (maybe make it a little cheaper , or at least for 30 you should run around pant less...) I had lots of great experiences and honestly typing them all out would be boring.Tan team GG. Green team GG.
