Hell of a game, friends. I'll begin this by dropping an apology and and an explanation. The non-infamous VD has two titanium screws in his knee as a result of a catastrophic injury at a hardcore show when he was eighteen. (Okay, okay, I'll stop the third person...) This surgery cost BCBS around forty six thousand dollars and cost me six months of pretty gnar rehab. When tan went to go occupy the hill that green was holding valiantly, I slipped down a few feet and caught my foot on two tree trunks, twisting my cyborg knee and causing a loud pop. Needless to say, major freakout and I'm still limping. I'll give it a week and I'll go see my surgeon again. But, as for the action of the day. Massively good teamwork with tan. CO listened to his squad and made intelligent decisions based on where we were. The ambush in the village when they turned on us was both intense and infuriating. As I exfiled the area, bad knee and all, I wanted to go back in and slaughter those goddamn rebels. Most of my day was spent providing overwatch, calling positions and providing harassing fire as the more swift (read: non-smoker, in-shape, non fatty) members of the team moved in to secure the objectives. Charlie team (tan) bonded something fierce, and I cant wait to battle along side of them again. CQBR, I admire your dedication to the sport and you did a hell of a job as squad leader. I had to crack a smile or six as my new MP5 lit up a few of the greenies. So satisfying. More satisfying than that, observing the green's movement and relaying it to my squad and then up the chain of command to our awesome CO was so fulfilling. Good game, Tex. Had my knee not given out, I may have tried to kidnap your ass. So now I'm laying in bed on le macbook with a bag of ice on my cyborg knee. It was a pleasure meeting those I met at the event and I'm more than stoked to sling plastic with you 'gents and laides again. VD OUT. EDIT: Tex, if you ever need any assistance planning one of these events, drop me a line.

Wish I could make It but I was up until 8AM playing d20 'Wars and prepping for commencement... Yeah. D20... Star Wars? Anyways, good game. I enjoyed the whole day, except for the humidity. And I hold Tex personally accountable for that one! The gold bars thing, was fun. I could have gone for a few more objectives, just because I wasn't all that sure what we were supposed to be doing except for killing Tan. Either way, it was a good excuse to shoot people. Always nice to put a face with forum names too. I also THOROUGHLY enjoyed the lack of noobs on the field! Everyone fought! I was even on Woodland, and we held our own, even if we didn't win for the day. It just goes to show what a little maturity (because we did have 14 yr' olds out there today) can do for a team. Kudos to our younger players out there today that acted like professionals.

Meh. I honestly don't think it was worth $30, not to mention the 2+ hour drive from Ann Arbor. It was decent, but it was nowhere near what I'm used to with a Tex game. I was on green team, and I heard all of one objective all day, beside the usual "find gold, bring to civilians, get explosives". For a supposedly MilSim game, there just weren't the objectives and things to keep us occupied.
The first half of the day was pretty good. I mean, it was still just "go find gold bars", but there were some pretty good firefights. But the second half of the day was pretty lousy. We started (already outnumbered by tan) in quite possibly one of the worst positions on the field to start in while the tan started in a much better position. So we quickly got cornered and almost literally our entire team got raped from like 3 directions. After that though Tex kind of gave us a new spawn point and we basically got to start over. From them on though I didn't hear a single objective, and most people just wandered around on the ridge taking pot shots into the cities. Then finally, once we got two airstrikes on the city and the south ridge peninsula overlooking the city, we were able to really push into the city. However, once we got there the tan guys were saying they were leaving and Tex ended the game. Pretty lame...
Anyways, it was good to see people again and there definitely were some good firefights, but it didn't feel/play like a real Tex MilSim game. Not to mention, where were these "props" that we paid a higher $30 entry fee for? I saw a bunch of bricks painted gold and a piece of cheap tubing that was an explosive...
I really don't mean to offend you Tex (or the rest of the guys who ran the game) because I know you guys can put on some really great games, I was just a bit disappointed in how this particular one was run.

Well to start, Tex, thank you for getting my gun around in time for this. And aside from your painfully annoying rebels in the city, it was a pretty good Milsim!!
On the tan side, the first half of the day we were so organized and communicated very well. That might have been the best team communication I've seen in quite a long time! We definitely had it together! It was great seeing everybody and I can't wait till the next one!
Mirage and Blindshot- It was great seeing you guys again and I was pretty happy we got to fight together for a few minutes!
Eggheads- good to see you guys as always! And Kaboose, I'll get that helmet from you yet!
Piper- Great job leading us! It was great to finally work with you guys!
And to all my guys on Bravo squad (tan)- you guys were great! I had lots of fun rolling with yall and I hope to catch up with you guys again sometime. And sorry for abandoning you guys towards the end there!

I remember having a blast last year at BE2, and this year definitely didn't disappoint! Tex awesome job planning this event! The whole village role player theme really made the game play very entertaining. And to Canto, and Glass, and Marshy, and Timm, and all the other role players you guys did an awesome job as well! I bet you guys had a lot of fun and it really made the day great for us! To Dingo and the rest of Black Talon, Chaseman and RATS, and the rest of the tan players it was awesome playing with all of you today! And yeah the communication today was incredible! You guys were awesome! Actually everyone was today, and the sportsmanship from what I saw today was some of the best I've ever witnessed while playing airsoft. Honestly I didn't have any issues with people not calling their hits. And to everyone on green you played valiantly! I'm pretty sure Team T.E.S.T had a worthwile drive home after that raffle today... And as always it was a pleasure playing with all of you! Great job leading today A4, and hope you guys had a safe drive back. To VD, it was great playing with you as well and I hope your knee is OK.

I've got to go with Kiki on this one. There were a lot of flaws in this game, and it definitely didn't measure up to some of the Bangor games I've been to in the past. I could list the problems I had with this game, and I will:
Objectives for green were minimal and poorly thought out. Second respawn point was flat awful. That problem took almost an hour to correct, when a simple, "you guys go here now" would have sufficed. Teams were obviously unbalanced, and there was no effort to correct this even when asked. "Artillery strikes" at the end of the day were an absolute executed in the manner of an absolute clusterfuck, and wasted another 20 minutes of game play. Lunch break was way too long. Squads and chains of command on green were never established or enforced, and our game play suffered from it. The raffle was obviously rigged.
That said, the first half of the day was still pretty good. The unbalanced teams were problematic, but only mildly at that point. And the "gather gold" objective was entertaining enough for a couple of hours. And I didn't see any cheating for the entire day, which I also think was due to the 16+ age limit. All of the players conducted themselves well, even in the face of the catastrophe of the second half. That, for me, really helped save the day. The players were all great to play with and against, and the role players all did a wonderful job. Interacting with them was a blast.

I enjoyed this event. Aside from the epic rain driving up to Bangor and the even more epic rain driving home from Bangor it was an awesome day. I enjoyed the company of the Hell fish. I was really happy to get to finally play with TEST. Dingo, NEVER!!! To Tex and Canto, I really enjoyed the meal after the event. As always I had a great time with you guys.

You all bitch too much, I had a great time. That's because you didn't play at all during the second half... Had I only played the first half of the day, I would have said it was a pretty good game. I mean, in the end it wasn't a terrible game or anything, it just didn't live up to the standards I expect from Tex and crew.
