Unfortunately, this has been cancelled due to the EPA shutting us down because of a single building that contains asbestos. There's no way to get around this unfortunately guys. Really sorry about it. Originally it was going to be alright because that building was not going to be used at all and was going to be barricaded off, but now, they apparently just aren't willing to take the risk.
If you want someone to mock and call a failure, it's me, as I was the one organizing everything. Looks like I'll be putting all my effort into Black Eagle 3 as of now. :\
Again, really sorry, wish there was something I could do.

Once we have our walk through of the field we will be sure to post up pictures of this place, as it is really something to look forward too.
Also, another major rule that will apply:
Absolutely NO smoking any where unless in the designated parking area.
Watch this space for what will hopefully be COG's new CQB facility.

As the event comes closer and the final numbers are gathered, we will have plans/options for camping, food, restrooms, etc. setup. I'm sure if it's big enough and you're not up for camping, that we'll try and set-up discounts in the surrounding area for hotels, etc. This event will be one that goes down in the record books. The time you take off work, travel time, other expenses will be worth it, rest assure. We will make sure of it!

Sounds epic as hell and definitely worth the money! I'll be able to go and I'll most likely be bringing a friend once it's solid that this is happening.

Probably the coolest soon to be airsoft field I have ever seen.
Seeing this facility obviously sparked huge interest with us C.O.G. members, but don't take our word, just wait until you see this place in person for yourself. It is MASSIVE.
Tactically this is probably the coolest CQB facility that I've seen next to a legit military training facility. There is tons of cover, and lots of nooks and crannies. Imagine having an indoor and outdoor firefight in a gigantic factory environment comfortably fitting 200 players.
Be excited. This is going to be ridiculous.

Also, if we get enough people (120+) I will be able to host a 2nd event here in the fall. All returning players will be granted a reduced entrance fee for the 2nd event!

As a non-COG individual that has seen this place I have to give my thoughts on it: it's pretty awesome. Looks straight out of a video game on the outside and barring any horrendously dangerous happenstances on the inside should make for a ridiculous day of airsoft. I know I will probably be attending the walk-through as well and will be sure to keep reports up to all of y'all.

We are going to need a lot of support and even more so, A lot of people who would want to play. This is looking like a golden opportunity for us and we don't want to have to let it go. This is definitely one to remember! We will be sure to keep everyone up to date as more information is given to us.

How much of the facility would actually be open to play? And if most buildings will be playable, will the entire outdoor property be open for play, or only some restricted areas?
I know there's probably a lot of hazards strewn about the place, so is it something along the lines of 'buildings will be open to play, with some rooms / areas marked off' or will it be 'some buildings are out of play and cannot be entered' sort of thing?

A large amount is open to play. The open area is basically all open save for what we make the parking lot and such. Should make for some epic building assaults. A few buildings will be completely closed off and a few rooms will be as well. All will be well marked and discussed at the briefing.
I won't have exacts until the property owner is out there with me, but he mentioned a few buildings would be off limits.
