Royal Oak Salvation Army
Background information: ROSA is in its third season and we are looking for more players. We have previously operated on a word of mouth basis. Our field is located in Leonard Michigan and is approximately 40 acres of usable space, consisting mostly of woodland with hills and some marshy areas.
We have a couple dozen scenario games we play, the most popular being Push (defenders holding bases against infinitely respawning attackers with one life each, falling back to the next base when hit), double Push (two sides fighting over bases), and other games that allow us to tour a large variety of areas but keep the action focused.
Date: 5/1/10
10:00am-4:00pm
Location: Echo Grove Camp
1101 Camp Road, Leonard, MI 48367
Cost: $2.00
Ages: 14+ welcomed. 18 and under with parental signature on waiver. We do not loan/rent any guns to individuals under 18.
FPS engagement ranges with .20g ammuntion:
• 1.0 - 350.9 fps - Arms length engagement limit
• 351.0 - 410.9 fps - 20 foot engagement limit
• 411.0 - 550.9 fps – 50 foot engagement limit, bolt action or permanent* semi-auto replicas only
• 551.0+ fps - Prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only
*Permanent semi-auto refers to replicas that do not have full-auto fire capability, no matter how the selector switch or other user input device is manipulated.
Bang rule is as follows: When a user has a clear advantage, known as "dead to rights", on another player they may choose to "bang kill" their target by simply saying "Bang", instead of shooting them. This counts as shooting them, but spares the target from being hit from extreme close range. Bang kills cannot be used on more than one person, as they are equal to shooting one target, and only apply when the target is within three feet and oblivious of the attacker, ("dead to rights"). You cannot bang kill and shoot another target simultaneously.
Protection: Full Seal, ANSI-rated Goggles required. Mesh, safety glasses, skii goggles will not be allowed. Face protection not required but suggested.
Radios are highly suggested. We may be breaking off into squads depending on the games chosen, so communication is key.
No Alcohol or Smoking allowed. No pyrotechnics allowed (fireworks, flares, hot or cold smoke grenades ect).
Bring a lunch as there are few fast food options in the area (Subway a few miles away).
We hold a Bible study during part of the lunch break. It is not mandatory to speak, but you must be present. The Bible study consists of a relevant current topic discussion. This is not a church service with guns.
Read the rules and have a waiver signed, by you and a parent if you are a minor, prior to playing. If you are not a minor and have to sign a waiver you can find them below.
