Since I'm nice and snug at home, I figured I'd start a thread.
This made my spring break worthwhile. Hanging out with everyone again was great. I want to thank SFOD, Immortal, and everyone else for all their hard work.
I enjoyed winning as the Marines for once (finally). I enjoyed seeing all the array of guns and gear. Just getting to meet some of you in person was worth the drive.
First mission was a blast. Piper, you were an excellent CO. My Russian comrades, we drove the enemy off with ferocity of the Motherland! Town was a muckfest, but I'm glad we all made through. Thanks for finding my famas mag guys, I'm still puzzled how I lost it. We needed m79's to capture though, I have nothing else to say.
Second match, tan, you made us pay with much blood. I got stuck behind a woodpile, till one of you almost landed one up my nose, I have nothing else to say. I never did get to know where the wmds were? That plan of ours to take the city didn't go so well, until the banzai charges occurred.
Regarding the new death system. Interesting concept, just not enough medics. I would suggest at least two per side, for the sake of when sides splinter into different attack groups. When several of us are stuck far to the side, with no way of keeping time, it makes you question about a "suicide" option. Don't even get me started on being shot constantly while waiting to bleed out, as anyone near me today can attest to.
In the end:
I got to sling some plastic I got to drive up interest in my revolver (oh Devil...) I got to see a lot of firepower I got to see some crazy shenanigans. I got to make new friends.
Ugh, Chernov, bring me more vodka, I can't feel my legs!

That's my revolver haha...
I had a generally good time today. The down was not bad at all, not like it usually is.
This did not feel like a Mil-Sim event at all, no objectives, just holding...not what I was expecting. I still had fun running around and healing people (my legs kill, and I had a few sweet dives). But, really, I would of liked us actually doing stuff not sitting around..
I also had a few problems with the Green Team. One player takes the game way too seriously and it really ruins the game for the rest of us - it's not all about winning and getting the most kills. A few times I could of sworn I hit him, and I politely asked him if he had been hit - but no - he responds with "YOU DIDN'T HIT ME MOFUCKA!". And another instance when I had him "dead to rights" or bang killed, but he says because I didn't say bang it doesn't count, so then he says bang and runs off...what is that? One of his teammates responded with "that's just the way he plays" - well that's cheating, and that is NOT how airsoft should be played. That's not how the game should be like my friend, it's not all a competition here - it's about having fun and simulating real combat situations.
I really don't think the guy is a bad guy, but he needs an attitude adjustment on the field - and needs to really get out of the mindset it's all about winning because it's not. You really do ruin it for the rest of us.

I had a good time, despite being shot by TheWolf point blank during the first half of the day (completely my fault, and it left a nasty wound).
I agree with Miles on one point though, and that is the Milsim aspect. It wasn't really there, but this was both good and bad. The game felt more laid back, and more fun-oriented (not that Mil-Sim games aren't fun!). But on the other hand, I missed not having objectives to accomplish or execute.
All things considered, I had a great time and the event was well-run, props to Gene and Greyfox for that. Things really got intense after lunch, and it was a blast defending our left side with Mike for a good 15 or 20 minutes.

Like everyone said, it didn't feel like a Milsim game at all. Basically tan team defended both games and green team attacked. Was it just me that didn't hear that there were things in the city that green team had to get on the first game? Because i know most of us didn't know what we were doing.
Also, miles did a really good job at being a medic. Not going to lie but he was the best medic ever at all the games i've played at. He actually ran across enemy fire just to save a person that he knew couldnt be saved. Also he was everywhere and on point with everything!
I'm not even going to say anything about the green team. Most of them should already know what they did and what was said above.
O and sorry for the guy in marpat i shot in the side of the head during the 300 game. There was no way of knowing you were on the same team as i because you were wearing marpat.
Ike- sorry for the head shot. I have nothing else to say.

My sides hurt from those pics Devil. Two clear ones of me. I look so rediculous, I have nothing else to say. What was my callsign conscript? Guts wasn't known at first, I sure wasn't Marine or Russian.
The one pic of me in a building makes me look like I'm yawning. Definent demotivational poster material.

We officially declared you Guts because it was fast and easy to yell, of coarse I never really had a chance to do so because I always seemed to be split off from my squad.
But yesterday was a great day, great job to the SFOD staff for running another great day of games. But as everyone has mentioned, this didn't feel like milsim at all, it just seemed like another attack and take the city game. Also, I felt like there wasn't even a need for communications amoungst our team all day long (which was great because there were so many issues with interference with our channel) because it seemed very obvious what we were doing, take the city and move the front forward.
