The Following Events are fictional, and are for entertainment purposes only...
August 23, 1942: Members of the secretive "Manhattan Project" gather together for a meeting which will soon change the world. Codenamed "Easter Egg", they will attempt to utilize a little known radioactive mineral, known as "Americum" to create the worlds most powerful bomb...
November, 1942: Manhattan Project Scientists begin storing "Americum" in Egg shaped containers and transporting it in egg crates, to avoid suspicion from German spies. Americum is shipped from ports on the east coast of the United States and the Gulf of Mexico to their location in the desert of Nevada, thus necessitating the egg deception.
December 1942: 250 pounds of Americum, the entire U.S. Supply, is lost during transport from the port of New York City. While crossing the state of Indiana, the "egg truck" just disappears.
January 1943: Faced with a shortage of Americum, and unable to obtain any more until summer, the Manhattan Project switches the focus of its research to another, more readily available radioactive mineral. Uranium can be obtained from mines nearby the Nevada Desert..The scientists wonder why they did not think of this before...
May 1946: With the WW2 over, the secret search for the radioactive easter eggs begins in earnest, with CIA operatives all over the U.S. following any lead they can find to locate the valuable and dangerous Americum shipment.
May 1951: The CIA declares the "Case of the Missing Easter Eggs" closed until further review.
April 1, 2010: The Department of Homeland Security recieves an e-mail from an anonymous source, claiming that "Radioactive Easter Eggs" are going to be used to create a dirty bomb to attack the city of Chicago, Illinois on Easter Sunday, 2010. Initially, the threat is dismissed as lunacy and filed away...
April 2, 2010: Homeland Security Mail Clerk Bob Briggs is watching the History Channel, and sees a special on the Manhattan Project. He remembers the part about radioactive easter eggs...While talking to his buddy Jon Parker (Threat Specialist) he brings it up, wondering if he had ever heard of such a thing.. Jon's heart comes thumping up into his throat...
"Excuse me, Bob, I have something important to take care of..." He stammers.
"Wait, Jon...I wasn't finished telling you about....." He trails off. Jon is already around the corner. He breaks into a light sprint, then a full-fledged run, knocking down co-workers as his forty-year old legs nearly fail him...
"What is wrong with you, Bob!" They yell.
"Slow the F--- down!"
"Where is the fire, Jon!"
"The fire is going to be in Chicago if I don't get to the Secretary's office NOW!" Jon screams like a madman. Flecks of foam dot his cheeks. He bursts through the door of the Secretary's office.. Steely Eyed, the Secretary looks up at him.
"This better be good, Parker..."
"Mr. Secretary, this is a matter of National Security, we need to move, NOW!
