I heard about this "rogue recon team" I was even sent on a patrol through the woods to find them and never did. They swung around the outside between West Point and Camp Zulu. They made it as far as Archie. We heard movement at Bravo and didn't think anything about it. Then we got a call over comm to fall back to Archie and intercepted them. After that I think they were removed.

This was my first outdoor event and I had a really good time. I'm still trying to get over a case of bronchitis, so today felt like twice the amount of work. I really enjoyed the city missions. I was lucky enough to do two of them. Near the end I didn't see many tan squads out there. I'm not sure if they left or we were really spread out but we sure could have used some reinforcements.
For the most part I didn't have much trouble with hit calling. What really irritated me was the several times I hit someone and watched them flinch, then they started firing back. But I suppose that is part of airsoft. Overall I enjoyed playing with everyone. To the medic in the ACU, thanks for healing me out there.
My favorite part of the day was when we (Alpha squad, Phoenix Tactical) made a move on the Batavian HQ. It was one long ass hike to get there but it was fun to cause some trouble.

Sounds like everyone had fun. I'll admit, I'm a little disappointed that my car's starter decided to die on me two days before what sounds like an epic event, but after thinking about things I'd probably have been unable to play anyway; the more I think about it the more I want to say that when I chrono'd my P90 back in Texas, lo those many moons ago, it was shooting 415-420 fps. Of course, I did end up picking up an M4 to replace it, but when I did a function check I discovered it's currently an oversized paperweight at the moment as well, thanks to a combination of bad wiring and/or a bad motor, as well as a battery pack that decided to come apart on me for no apparent reason. Ah, well. You pays your money and you takes your chances, right? Hopefully things will get ironed out sooner, as opposed to later...

Best game I have been at since The Battle for Durbond 1 last year. Had allot of fun. The day turned out really good. The game was better then last year and can't wait for next. Couldn't have said it better myself. Awesome game. Met some really cool people and had a great squad and SL. Couldn't have asked for more in the day. Great job TFI. P.S. There should be two Durbounds a year or there at least be more TFI events held at Hell Survivors.

Thank you TFI for putting on this game. We had fun.
My only complaint would be that it was planed on a Sunday. I had less fun with the crap I had to do later that day on my mind. This caused our team to have to leave at lunch. We also thought the price was steep for an airsoft game, but maybe this feeling was caused by stress of things we needed to do.
The field was nice, and couldn't ask for better weather. Once again enjoyed TFI's squad and medic system and I wish other groups would apply this to their games as well.

When we were out eating lunch, we decided to be responsible and leave since we all had a ton to do before monday and a 2 hour drive ahead of us, however I didn't realize till an hour in that I left my blue charger, a battery, and a cap covering it to the left of the stage near the stairs.
Anyone grab that?

We also thought the price was steep for an airsoft game, Most millsims are up there in price. Were going to breedland 3 this year, it is $65 pre pay, $80 walk on.

I think it was well worth the price. The rarity of the field, the commitment of the staff, the oscar-winning acting job in the village (I nominate the cop), are all worth the few bucks more.
I did not have a problem with hit calling, but I know that outdoors we sometimes take looong shots and people don't always necessarily feel them, but that is forgiveable and expected. Everytime I engaged someone with 125 feet, they called it and were sportsmanlike.
The medics were great, and TFI is a class act. Perhaps one of the elite gaming organizations in the Midwest. We are fortunate to have them. Great Job guys!
OH yeah, and that big push by green at the end of the game into tans base was epic. One of the highlights of the year. Both sides left their balls on the field for that one.

Thanks for the compliments guys we really appreciate all of the support.
As Moped said MILSIM price is steeper because of the amount of time it takes to put it together (5 months for this one) and the field charges us A LOT to use it. We are planning on a Durbond three so be looking for it in the next few months registration will be a bit different next time so please pay attention as soon as you see it up.
Once again thanks for all of the support guys, we do this for you folks and because we want to see a higher caliber of MILSIM in michigan for you guys. That said, if there is anything that you think could be improved on please by all means let us know.
Cheers,
TFI

I thought it was a great game! everyone seemed nice all though from what I heard people were not calling their hit from green. However I did not encounter that same issue. I was the squad leader for the recon team on tan.
This was my first big outdoor game and TFI impressed me.
thanks guys.

For the most part I didn't have much trouble with hit calling. What really irritated me was the several times I hit someone and watched them flinch, then they started firing back. This is something I often hear complaining about, seeing people flinch. Someone flinching doesn't mean they were shot, ESPECIALLY if they near hard cover. If someone has a near miss while I'm behind a tree, hits the lip of my bunker, smacks the wall next to my face, I just naturally flinch out of the way, more so if I'm not expecting it.. Its hardly something that I control, but I haven't been hit. I give the benefit of the doubt when I see people flinching, and just shoot them some more.

Thanks for the positive feedback. All of us on TFI are happy you enjoyed the game. I had a good time reffing out at Archie Bunker again. I saw a few disagreements but for the most part they were resolved easily and both sides treated the refs with respect, Thank you for that.
There were some problems with timing, confusion, and some no-shows making the teams a bit unbalanced. We will work to resolve these issues in future games.
One side note, we are missing some props. A green sea bag with a lot of stuff in it and a blue cooler, both of these were VOs. They may have been moved a bit and then dropped when the squads moving them were eliminated. These props do cost us money and we need them for other games, if anyone knows about where either of these things may be on the field send me a PM or just post it here so we can send some people back to look for them. Otherwise I like to thank you, the players for making this a great game.

The first half of the day was amazing. I had fun surprising the hell out of PGNBSTD and his friends. and got to have a sneaky deltasealnasadoorgunner moment later in the day. There are a lot of aspects I was not happy with, but I (unlike others) am mature enough to just let it go.
