Some of the High lights now that I am somewhat recovered.
King and me hauling ass with our overweight radios from past. Me and Glass' nice little firefight.
Over all, I must say I keep coming home from Michigan with a smile across my face from how amazing the events are.

I had a great time, but unfortunately I had to leave after the 1st half.
The worst part of the day was, no medics were ever around me which was kinda annoying but that was okay I just walked back to spawn after my bleed out. What really got me though was my last death before the lunch break there was actually a medic near me and so I drew a card...and it was the fatal wound card.

It was a fun game, thanks Flakk for hosting this event.
My only thoughts, and something that has bugged me for a very long time is when people call themselves hit and stand around getting hit, yelling at the people shooting them. Yet these people do not have kill rags out. In my opinion if you don't have a kill rag out and on your head or in the air you have no room to complain.
I also get chuckles out of the amount of people who complain about being shot after they call themselves out, yet they are standing in front of a group of people returning fire, complaining how they got shot 9 times. You play a sport where people shoot plastic pellets at each other. You are going to get hit, and especially if you stand in front of people without a kill rag. I'm a bit tired of hearing people complain about it, and yet watching them act this way on the field.
Overall it was a great game, great weather, and I'm glad I came.

That's why I think that having a system where if you get hit again while you're bleeding out you "die" and have to go back to respawn immediately could work. It would get these people out of the line of fire at least. While we're complaining about little things, I would like to say that I was a bit disappointed with the number of people who didn't come dressed like this was a MilSim event. Flak, I think you guys did a good job trying to make this into a MilSim event, but it just didn't turn out that way. Too many people dressed in realtree camo, or just woodland camo but with no actual gear, etc... It just didn't feel MilSim. Personally, I'd vote for more 18+ MilSim games, but maybe that's just me.

I think this turned out to be more of an intro into MILSIM for newer players just getting involved, I understand where your coming from though. I would also like to see more players in legit camo with propper gear. Armory Airsoft had woodland camo for sale for a good price and with the prices in gear dropping there is really no excuse not to dress the part.

I agree. I make all my guys wear the proper stuff when they attend. Of course, I never have to enforce it because they are all gear junkies like I am. hehe

Guilty as charged on that one. But yes King, I totally agree with what you are saying with the second hit idea... it would be a good way to keep the field clear of "standers"

a lot of people just seemed scared to sit in the snow, or fall dramatically in my case I say when we get outnumbered that bad we get a Tank.

It would get these people out of the line of fire at least. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend this event but from having attended the last few events at Charlotte I noticed this too. I think having a 5 minute bleed out time when there's only one or two medics per team is unnecessary. I understood its purpose @ Plymouth when you could take prisoners to get points, but then at Midnight Ruse, and I'm assuming at Black Anvil I don't think those were objectives at all. What I noticed is that these longer bleed out times are causing a couple problems in my opinion. In the middle of the battle you have people in the middle that are just standing or sitting or laying and are bleeding out, and if they don't have kill rags they are getting shot and complaints are occurring. It's also slowing the game down IMO because now it takes players 5-10 minutes by the time they walk back to their base from their 5 min bleed outs then to wait up to 15 minutes to get back in the game. I really think the 5 minute bleed out time needs to be cut down to maybe two minutes OR just make it optional if the person wants to bleed out if they want to try and call for a medic or just walk away get out of the way and head back to re-spawn to get back in the game sooner.

Ugh, And somehow I got stuck earlier on carrying the Javelin with Dingo and two other dudes. Always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Yea that was pretty horrible. They told us to find it and we just turned around and there it was! And so we had to sprint through a firefight to get it back to base. Definitely the wrong place at the wrong time!

We changed during the middle of last year from a one minute bleedout/capture time to a five minute one. From what I've seen we'll switch back to the one minute time.
But other than bleedout issues, did everyone have a good time?

It was my first big event so I don't have much to compare it to, but I thought it was awesome!
Thank you to all the mods and team FLAK.
