Geist Kompanie got together a contingent and headed down to Springfield Ohio for Blind Fury 6, run by the Strikers. This here is my photographic AAR.
Personally, I had plenty of fun at BF6, would probably go again. There was much less of the historically-encountered unfair Strikers tomfoolery, but from the airsoft I played, the focus was more on point control and not on milsim objectives.
I applaud the intriguing medic rules, but there was poor understanding of them amongst players and other medics. Personally, I was glad I was a medic, considering my gas rig exploded due to foolishness on my own part. C'est la vie.
GK teammates on the way to the Krieger HQ.
Munin at right, during gear-up and before the Kreiger briefing.
Squads line up for counting before game start.
One of the Krieger commanders, plus the battlewagon (more of that later).
Squadmate and comrade Yuri.
Zorak during the initial assault and taking of Browntown.
Kriegers occupy Browntown after a short skirmish.
Just a neat shot in shadow.
This is how Zorak feels about being photographed after getting hit. I, a medic, was also wearing my red dead rag.
Tropicos assault Browntown with efficiency.
Much later, Kriegers attempt to retake Browntown in force, after 45 minutes of probing attacks that accomplish little but a constant stream of casualties. The guy at right acted as my medic assistant, saving the lives of many Kriegers at his own risk by bringing them to me at the medic station in the rear.
A quick planning session at the eastern edge of the Browntown approaches, prior to the mass attack.
The charge to vistory at Browntown!
Pushing the Tropicos away from the northwest edge of Browntow incurred a number of casualites. These guys were counting down their bleed-out time.
Defense duty inside the buildings of Browntown.
More defense duty, this time with a little bit of flair.
A Tropico probe from the west causes a frisson of heavy action. They were defeated.
Springfield OH, Aug 29 2009 -- Taking the tower at the north corner of Browntown took over 30 minutes as the tenacious Tropico defenders kept under cover. Kriegers popped some smoke to conceal an insertion.
Those not attacking the tower took the chance to reload and rest.
Two of the Krieger command speak to HQ to coordinate the taking of the satellite dish with the high explosives (at right, in the gold foil).
Munin (left) is tasked with leading the demo mission.
Springfield OH, Aug 29 2009 -- Mere meters from successfully blowing the sat dish, a Tropico fast reaction force wiped out our demo squad.
A Tropico attempts to locate and pin down the last remaining Krieger demo squaddie.

and more...
One of me, taken before the Tropicos could kill all of us.
My camera popped out of its case into this thick underbrush, and I had given it up for lost. After 20 minutes of searching, though, I miraculously found it on the ground here.
Given this is where I dropped the camera, it was unbelievable that I found the damn thing.
A single 6mm BB suspended by a strand of spider silk.
Another one of me, taken by Yuri.
A very old set of ceramic insulators on a disused power pole.
Back at Browntown, doing guard duty.
...more
Me again, staying safe inside a structure at Browntown. I ran out of here on occasion to heal any injured Kriegers.
Guard duty on top of the tower gave a commanding 270-degree view of Browntown and the eastern and western approaches.
A hole blasted in the tower roof.
A Doom-style (too oldschool? let's say, "Halo-style") view out of the tower looking south into Browntown.
Dead Kriegers heading away from Emerald city, towards Browntown.
Between Browntown and the Airfield (Krieger HQ), a mixed bunch of airsofters kibbitz about the day's events.
The Tropico artillery, aimed at the Krieger-held airfield.
They were powered by propane bangers.
A quick tour of the battle wagon:
CO2-powered blasters! Actuated electrically by solenoid valves, they shot a sabot filled with a handful of BBS. These guys made for incidental targets.
The driver-operated SAW.
Explaining the electrical triggers.
The side door swung out, gullwing style.
The miserable slog up the very steep hill at the end of the day.
Airsoft players milling around post-game.
Another photog.
Arranging ourselves for team photos.
Teammate Yuri is ready for some post-game dinner!
