Good job to OCA on Sunday the 16th for putting together an excellent scenario. And Voorhies, excellent timing on getting those A-10's to do a fly by too! For those that didn't attend, this was a private 'test' scenario that lasted about 4 1/2 hours, on their 40+ acre field. Mission was well thought out, and involving recon and recovery as well as seek out and destroy. There was also a night game prior, however I was unable attend. 40 acres may not seem like much, until you have 40-50 pounds of items stuffed into your pack and walking up hill to your recovery area. The next best part of the game (next to the A10's flying over) was going through the woods and coming upon a few small open fields. Playing the role of the medic/mobile spawn you realize it's a long way back if you get killed; the realization hits you as your crossing an open field, anticipating an ambush. The field was a bit big for the number of players, but this made for some fanstastic Milsim! It was about 90 minutes into the game before we came across someone.

Thanks for the kind words Sky. We'll be hosting many more games next summer.
I think the faster paced speedballish games we had were a lot of fun. We plan on tripling what we have currently and adding a second level.
I pulled a lot of strings to get the fly overs, I was really going for realism on theis event.

I heard that you built some SFODish buildings, that would have been rad. I wished that I could have played...shit...that pisses me off.
I will definitely be at the next one for sure in full regalia with as many of immortal as I can bring.

My guys and I had fun as well. I know it is not everyone's cup of tea but that long, slow patrol was awesome. Just the anticipation of contact was exciting. The tan squad seemed to work together very well...great fun. Voorheis - get your big ass lawn mower out and cut a trail through that field. That shit was like walking through a foot of snow. I can just image what those A-10 pilots would of thought if they caught a glimpse of the tan squad crossing that open field.

How the hell did you manage an Air Force flyover? That's badass. It's a Coast Guard thing. You wouldn't understand.
