Op Background Info:
During the Iran Contra Scandal of 1983 – 1988 The United States was involved in Nicaraguan affaires during Somoza’s communist takeover of the country; using the Sandinistas as his military force, Somoza roused Reagan to take military action of his own by placing the National Guard on the borders of Nicaragua, and sending military funding and aid to a Nicaraguan resistance force called the Contras, in hopes that it would resolve the matter of communism in Nicaragua and restore it to it’s former political party association. Now properly prepared for battle, the Contras have set up a plan to take an enemy occupied village as their new command post. Somehow, Somoza caught wind of this scheme and has sent in an army of Sandinistas as reinforcements to the few allied units they have in the war torn village.
-Teams and Camo regulations-
Contras: Woodland, Woodland Marpat, Tigerstripe, OD, ACU.
Sandinistas: 3 & 6 color Desert, Desert Marpat, Multicam, Khaki, Contractor, Black.
Contras Objectives:
(Neutral) Get to the CIA operatives, and extract to contras command post for interrogation.
(Offensive) If CIA interrogation is successful, the info gathered provides the location of a Sandinistas missile silo. Contras forces have 30 minutes to plant a bomb on the missile silo or the objective is failed.
(Defensive) If CIA operatives aren’t captured and interrogated, the contras must defend a cache of weapons from the Sandinistas that were dropped by US forces for 30 minutes.
(Offensive) If the missile silo is successfully destroyed, or if the weapons cache is successfully protected, the Contras forces begin a final siege on the Sandinistas command post. Capture small fire bases, than move to the larger command post in 60 minutes.
(Defensive) If attack on missile silo fails, or if defense of weapons cache fails, the Sandinistas forces will start a siege on Contras command post. Protect smaller fire bases and larger command post for 60 minutes.
