I guess I'll kick this off...
First of all we want to thank everybody who came out. From the sounds of it you all had fun. Saturday got started a bit late thanks to the rain but we played long and the system worked out pretty well by all accounts (save for camo confusion already fixed thanks guys)
Sunday we had a few less guys but we had a blast! Taking heavily fortified bunkers and the one where we got shot right off the bat was awesome!
So once again thank you everybody who came out and let us know what you think so we can make improvements.
The bon fire last night was hilarious very funny!
Cheers,
Guarding (TFI)

It was great to get out and put some faces next to a few forum members' names.
For a free event, I thought this was great. Aside from the issues we discussed face to face, my only suggestion would be to post the rules for future events online well before the day of. If I'd known the rules for squad integrity and the demo team beforehand, I'd never have left my radio in the car for the morning games.
Edit: Helix is right, you did post the rules for squad integrity in advance. My bad.

Actually, I think the rules had been posted somewhere, as I recall reading about the squad morale business a few weeks ago (and questioning the concept of forcing morale, but remembering that not everyone there would be an RPfag). Other than the communications issues and the somewhat inconclusive camouflage systems, it was a good game that didn't seem to have many flaws. It was certainly a good first field experience.
I noticed there were some pictures being snapped, any estimate on when they'll be up?

I had a blast rolling as VC, I spent the first hour crawling and shooting around the S and C bunkers.
My knee injury started to kiill really bad so ended up taking off on Sat, I was pretty bummed I missed the Sunday games.

Top notch game, well organized, friendly people and good sports!
I only regret that I only came out so late on saturday afternoon. It was great meeting all of the folks from TFI and getting acquainted face to face with some familiar names for the first time in person. The games were great, the bonfire was great too. Next time I am totally going to stay for the whole weekend if I have the time off. For the record Jeff, I didn't even get sick from eating that half raw bratwurst!

My son and I had a great time. Sorry we didn't stick around for the Sunday action.
Personally I thought the game play was perfect. Rolling with Zorak, Enkidu, Motown and that one local guy (sorry don't remember his name) was a lot of fun. For never having played together I think we did a pretty good job. The field terrain was great and the medic rules seemed good. I really don't have any complaints. TFI did great job and I am sure the next one will have the minor wrinkles worked out.
I know Enkidu was taking some pictures, would love to see them.
Thanks again!

I had myself a great time on Saturday, so thanks, TFI! It was good fun rollicking around with Tarantula Squad, and good to meet some new faces. Cheers to Kurt, Corey, and Brian, and to the Demo Squad.
I did indeed take photos, but I have no internet at home to post them. In a day or two I sould be able to post them, plus a few short videos as well.

It was a very good game. The game play was great for the kind of Sim. The field size was good for the number of people. It was nice having a good mix between walking on patrol wondering when the next ambush would be, and being involved in heavy fire fights.
The medic system was great, best thing I've seen so far! Having the destructible items to demo was great as well. It was a good feeling to stumble upon them, and the fact that they hindered the enemy when they lost it felt even better. Great system.
It was awesome playing the demo team. Defending the points from counter attack while counting down the five mins on the demo charges was also pretty great. It would of been epic with more players on the VC side when they performed the counter attacks. It was fantastic supporting Tarantula and Viking squads. It was great to see friendly faces in that woods full of VC. You guys did a great job finding and securing holes! Sorry we didn't spend more time at the campfire, we were really hungry and tired. Hope to see you guys at other events this summer!
There were less players then I expected, but I can't fault iris for that... darn you rain gods. With the reduced numbers I wished the FOB was not attack-able with the reduced numbers. There were times squads were calling for our support and we really couldn't leave because the FOB was under heavy assault. The American team really needed more radios as well, but what can you do.
Guardian did a great job reffing. The one bad experience our team had was when our Recon team sneaked up on on sniper wearing a guile suit and from 5ft away they pointed and yelled bang. The sniper then turned around and said "he doesn't take that crap" and shot them with his pistol. Luckily a ref came out of the bushes, talk about good timing. Their still pretty sour about that incident, but I'm glad Iris was there to deal with it.
I couldn't of asked for a better game, the fact that it was free was even better! Thank you for putting on a great game Task Force Iris.

They both had rifles, at that range I don't think it would of been a pleasant experience for him. I also think its bad that a player would argue that MIA rules take more president over house rules. Makes me think of Counter Strike Source players and CAL. ---Nomad---

To echo Kurt, Enki, and Zorak, I too had a great time with squad tarantula. Kurt, you and your son are top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to play with you again.
Everybody playing was more than friendly, honorable, and IMO it's the way everybody at any event should act.
Last but not least, it was awesome and pure sex to bring my MG42 to bear on human targets, that alone made my three hours of airsofting.

were glad you folks had fun and we are thinking of employing this system at a major game (wrinkles out of couse).
Motown that MG42 was AWESOME!!! I talked to some VC after the game and they were all scared of you I have nothing else to say.
I met a lot of really cool people and got to put names to faces and thats always nice, so once again thanks to everybody for attending.
As far as the attackable HQ is concerned, because the VC were so heavily outnumbered (like they were supposed to be) we could not allow the HQ to go undefended because the VC would get smoked, sorry. At a larger game this wont be a problem.
Saturday looked like a lot of fun, a few times I wanted to go grab my shotie and roll with VC or Americans but I got that chance on Sunday and 6 kills go to the UTG!!! (two were friendly fire :/ ). All and all it was a fun time and I had an absolute blast, loved chatting with the guys at Pizza hut after Sundays games!
Cheers,
Guardian

I had a GREAT time with everybody both saturday and sunday. Everybody was very friendly and informative which was totally cool. As a newbie to airsoft i was a little nervous coming out by myself, but everybody was patient and cool with me. I really liked all the bad-ass guns everybody had. I was very impressed with the medic/ demolition aspect of the game, adds a interesting element to the game. I was also very impressed with the level of play was from a tactical standpoint. Not just run and gun. Some of these guys are scary good!!! It was a lot different than what I'm used to (playing paintball with pump guns in the 90s) and thats awesome too. Thanks again and I hope to play with ya'll again.
