It's not speedball at all. There's a entire city to move threw. Don't judge the quality of a field by how big it is.

It's not speedball at all. There's a entire city to move threw. Don't judge the quality of a field by how big it is. While it may be about 15 acres, it by no means, feels like it. Between the rapidly changing terrain, and the city, and the wooded areas, AND humping the hills.... by the end of the day you will be tired as hell from moving around so much. SFOD may take up a smaller footprint than some fields but it contains more than you need for any type of game (unless you had like 300 people).

15 acres is speedball shit, count me and my team out. You've obviously never been to our field. Take a look at the pics CQBR posted and see how much it doesn't resemble paintball. We have an entire city, normandy style assualt hill, and a somewhat of a maze-needs to be put back together as the storms have had their way lately. Not to mention tons of bunkers, and whtnot leading up to and aorund our multi-level city. Don't be soo quick to judge what you don't know. Just ask around, we've hosted some very good games and most, if not everyone who comes to ours has a blast. Not to mention 2 of the most "stacked", fun, and reputable scenarios in Michigan; SFOD's "300" and my own "Splinter Cell" scenario.

Let's not forget the some great Ops happened there too. Such as.. Gold Rush 1 & 2, Blood Dyansty, Area 51, Bitching Cold, etc.
Andy, it sounds like you've made up your mind. So prehaps you'll see you at another event somewhere else, and I'm sorry your going to miss an awesome event.

Frankly, I like SFOD in the summer, but I prefer Hole in the Wall.

Frankly, I like SFOD in the summer, but I prefer Hole in the Wall. Hole in the Wall is the best field on the west side of the state. But for those who mainly airsoft in south east region the SFOD field is the highest rank one for Ops. Don't get me wrong because I've enjoyed playing at the other fields in this region such as No Limits but SFOD has never been a disappointment for me.

Of course not, because it's your home field, and your options are like it or leave.

From the descriptions above, I think someone is going to have to dig a ditch for me, especially if the weather was as humid as today. Did the storms that hit in the afternoon do anything? The golf course I work and live next to literally has mini lakes everywhere now, and I heard Lansing had standing water in some areas. I'm determined to make it, although I'm miffed I only have cash for entry so far, I remember people selling good stuff off at the one event I ever went to. (paychecks still waiting to be used in a credit union...) Overall, I can't wait to meet players. I just hope I don't make a fool of myself. Oh, one question to anyone going, would anyone happen to have something good for filling one of these, bought the last one last year. www.trinityairsoft.com/p-844-tanaka-m29-65-heavyweight-gas-pistol-airsoft-gun.aspxDon't see the original these days much, too powerful for the field, but would be a blast to shoot again. The metal tube for an adaptor to feed into it disappeared, and I never could get it filled right even with it. I've heard a vfc "flashbang" gas charger works (guy I know has like 3 he uses with it), but not exactly easy to get in my case. I might just bring it along as a conversation peace.

Guys, keep it civil in here. If you aren't going to go, then don't go. It's that easy. This is not the thread to be masuring the merit of fields, either. This is simply to sign up for a game.

Hello there, I'll be attending on the tan side. I'll be buying new camouflage because my camo currently doesn't fit. I have a quick question however. Does ACU/Multicam count for the Tan Side?
