[glow=blue,2,300]SFOD SPRING OPENER[/glow]
We've finally got the reshedule sorted out. I just got off the phone with Corey, and we're good to go. So get your gear in order, your weapons tuned, and join us for our Spring 2009 opener.
Place:
S.F.O.D. Field
4216 S. State RD
Davison, Mi 48423
Cost: $15
Waivers can be found here. it says Red Dawn, but it's fine.
Registration - 10:00
Briefing - 10:30
Game Start - 11:00
Lunch - 2:00
Try and get there early, and get all your shit in order so we can get you registered, briefed, and out on the field as quick as possible. We'll end when we run out of bodies or get too tired
We will have a 1 hour-ish break for lunch. The time will be decided mutually between all the players when we get hungry. Can be anytime between noon and 3. If you're not back in time, the game will start without you, please find an SFOD member and they'll will fill you in on the lunch briefing if the game changed.
S.F.O.D. FPS and Engagement distances
>/= 350: arms length*
351-420: 20 feet
421-550: 50 feet AND PERMANENT Semi-auto ONLY.
551+: Not permitted. There will be NO exceptions.
At the chrono, we usually give a 2-3 FPS lee-way, for inconsistencies, but anything more than that will be bumped up to the next MED, or if it's in the hot area, will simply not be allowed onto our field. Every gun chrono’ed will also be tagged. Any gun without a tag WILL NOT enter our field. If you're caught using an untagged gun on the field, we will pull you out on the spot to chrono and tag it.
*Arms length means an arms length distance from your muzzle to the target.
Absolutely NO blind firing. Blind firing is when you cannot physically see the target. This means things like sticking your arm up over a wall to shoot, or around a corner and you're not in some way looking down the barrel of your gun. You don't necessarily have to be sighted up, just looking down your gun barrel, or in the direction you’re shooting. If you cannot see where your bb's are going, then you're probably blind firing.
FULL SEAL GOGGLES REQUIRED
[glow=red,2,300]No Full Seal=NO play, NO EXCEPTIONS[/glow]
Eye protection:
This dilema comes up ALL the time, so I'll address it to the best of my knowledge. What you’re about to read is the will of Corey's father, so there will be no if's, and's or but's about it. Now remember, changes may be made the day of, and exceptions are sometimes made if we can sway Corey's father to lean our way and give us a tad more leniency. As always, SFOD decisions on any matter are FINAL.
For those under 16, you MUST have full face protection. This can be a full mask, balaclava, schema, bandanna over the face-whatever. As long as your face is covered, it's fine with us. There will be ABSOLUTELY NO shooting glasses unless first approved by Corey AND his Father, which happens, well, next to never. I have been told that mesh is acceptable, but I strongly advise against it and I do not agree with the decision. Just bring some goggles and save everyone the hassle of dealing with them. If you're 16, or older, you're all set with just a pair goggles, nothing more is required, and it is up to you whether or not you want to go above and beyond just goggles
Camo Regs:
Desert Team:3-6 color Deserts, Khaki, ACU, and Civilian. Anything NOT Green
Woodland Team: Woodland, MARPAT, OD, Tiger tripe.
Black and Multicam will be placed where needed to balance things out.
Also, for anyone who plans to, or think they might take off or not use your BDU top, please wear a shirt that is the same color as the team your on, IE-desert camo pants and a beige-ish color shirt. Same for Woodlands, only green.
Ammo/mag restrictions:
There is no limit to how much ammo you can carry. Loose ammo, or any means of refilling mags is good to go. Please, by all means carry extra ammo with you into the field. The less time you spend having to fight the hill to go topside to reload, the more playing time we get.
But, there are a few exceptions.
Drum Mags=NO!!!
The only weapons allowed to us a drum mag are any REALISTIC support weapons. This means any M60's, M249's, PKM, and REALISTIC impressions of an MG36 or RPK. Because I know it will come up, as it always does, I'll answer the big question now-No, you cannot use your drum mag with a standard M4, G63C, MP5, AK47, or any gun that does not fall into the support weapon category.
As always, shoot me a PM or post here if you have any questions.
