I have a UTG L96 and I have been looking for a way to get a better kick and range, and the question is, do I abandon my UTG and go for a good brand of sniper rifle or do I just upgrade it?
However, keeping mind, I'm a ranger, not a sniper(A real sniper perches in one place and waits for a good target, and only moves 2-3 times, sometimes never. A ranger moves as much as everyone else, their just the long range support for their squad)
If you suggest upgrade or a new rifle please tell me which specific rifle or upgrade you would suggest.
Suggestions? comments? confessions?

Suggestions? comments? confessions? Fixed, get a better gun. UTG's are not the worst, but they definitely aren't the best. I'd recommend something with semi/full-auto capabilities because there's no such thing as one shot one kill in airsoft (unless your replica costs $1500+ that is). Perhaps an M16A3 DMR or another long rifle AEG.

Thanks for the fix, but I have a thing against sharp shooting with anything without a bolt. Don't ask why, its just a a small thing I have, I gotta have the bolt, but thank you for the suggestion.

Well if you have to have a bolt action rifle, I'd start with the Maruzen L96. Then sink money into reinforced parts for it.

I too was going to say you're better off using an AEG and going a DM route. But since that's not what you want then I'll say it's going to depend on how much you really want to spend.
I'd agree with Ghast and say get a better gun instead of upgrading the UTG. But expect to pay $400-$600+ on just a better bolt action rifle. But you could always go gas bolt action like a Tanaka, Marushin but you're looking at least $500+ for one of those.
If you want to do it right there's really no way to cheap out on a good rifle...
