Yes, yes MORE PEOPLE! FREE EVENT!
I was going to propose some of these simpler games when everyone arrives, but I'll give you all a heads up now. These are some objectives I was thinking. Nothing too complex.
WELCOME TO AIRANCH AIRSOFT, WERE OUR MOTTO IS: SCUZI’ IS THAT AN UZI?
Dominance (Team) • Once shot you must yell, “HIT!” raise your arms, and go to the designated area • Any hit on any part of you or your clothing counts as a full hit. • If your weapon is hit, that weapon is inoperable. • To re-gain the hit weapon, you must go touch a designated area. • Once in the designated area for a death, you must wait for 1 min. • You may surrender without being hit and only wait in the designated area for 30sec • Once hit, you must not speak to team-mates • To call Surrender, you must yell, “I surrender!” at least 2 sec prior to being hit • When close enough to have a definite kill, you must call knife without shooting • Once knifed, the opponent may not speak nor call hit and go to designated area with hands and weapon up. • Once any penalty time is done, you may re-enter the playing field. • The first team to have all their players in designated penalty zone at once looses.
Deathmatch (Team) • Once shot you must yell, “HIT!” raise your arms, and go to the designated area. • You may not re-enter the playing field • Last team to have any remaining players wins
NO MAN LEFT BEHIND: • A stuff doll is placed in the center of the field between the two teams • Each team must take the doll to their side • If hit while carrying the doll, you must immediately drop it • Once hit, you must go to a respawn point and wait a time period • The team who carries the doll to their side wins
Base Defense (Team) • Same basic rules as Dominance • Each team has three targets in a localized “Base” area. • Each team tries to hit the other team’s targets. • The last team to have any remaining targets wins.
Capture the Flag (Team) • Same rules as Dominance • Instead of a designated area, you wait to be “rescued.” • Any player may rescue a downed player. • To rescue, you must be in contact with the person while counting aloud for ten sec • Once rescued, the hit player may resume playing. • Each team has a flag around a given area. • Whichever team can retrieve the opposing flag and bring it to theirs, wins
Free for ALL (Solo) • Same basic rules as Dominance without penalties • Once hit, you must yell and raise your arms while moving to the designated area • The last man standing wins.
Convoy (Team) • Same Rules as Deathmatch • One team will defend, while one teams advances • The advancing team must pass at least one team member into a victory area on the opposite end of the playing field • The defending team will try to prevent this • If the advancing team successfully gets a player into the area, they win • Only the defending team can re-enter the playing field after being hit • To re-enter, the hit defendant must be tagged by another team-member or wait in a designated area for two minutes.
V.I.P / POTUS (Team) • One person, wearing an orange hunting vest, will act as a V.I.P. hostage. • One team will try to rescue this hostage while one defends • If the hostage is killed, both teams loose • If the hostage is rescued, the defending team looses. • The hostage must reach the designated area un-hit • Once rescued, the hostage may pick up a weapon and fire. • The hostage cannot run, may only walk. • The hostage must comply with the defending team’s orders until tagged by a rescuing team member. • To re-capture the hostage, a defending team member must tag the hostage
ESCORT/POTUS (TEAM) • One team has an unarmed or slightly armed player wearing an orange vest and tries to escort him to a designated area • The other team tries to capture or kill that person • If he is killed or captured, the defending team looses. • Capturing counts as two wins.
DEMOLITION (TEAM) • Each team starts on opposite sides of playing field • An object representing a satchel charge is placed in the middle • Each team will try to place the charge in the opposing base area • If the carrier of the charge is hit, he must wait to be rescued and drop the charge • A dropped charge may be picked up by any live players
OFFICERS: • Each team has one or more designated “officers” • Each player must take orders from the team’s officers • Each opposing team must eliminate the other’s officers while protecting their own • Whichever team no longer has any surviving officers looses.
RAID: • Capture the flag except one team attacks and the other defends • There are multiple flag locations, each with a box • There is only one flag and must be returned. • The flag is in one of the boxes. • Neither the defenders nor the attackers know which box the flag is in.

I have a few 5 gallon jugs up here at work that I can get my hands on. You could fill them with water and drop a couple glow sticks in them, on account of the night game. Play a scenario where one team starts with the jugs rather close to the enemy lines and has to move them to a designated area while the other team must pursue them and retrieve the jugs. Load them up with water to slow which ever team is moving them. Could be fun.

I like that too! If you can bring them, please do. I want to make this the people's choice. I will offer what I can, but overall, if people are tired of red vs blue team, we'll do something different.

There's always good old Push. I can fill you in on the details on field if you're interested. It seems to be a crowd favorite.

I read about a game called mercenaries and assassins once. It's a night based game where one team wears glow sticks on their backs and the other team is unarmed. The goal of the unarmed group, the assassins, is to complete an objective. Plant the bomb, capture the flag, etc. However the only way they can "kill" the other group, the mercs, is to remove the glow stick from their back. The mercs objective is to simply kill all of the assassins. I have never bothered to try it because It seems way to difficult and complex, but I wouldn't mind giving it a shot if say 3 am rolls around, theres not too many people, and they all want to play something different.

Tweek that actually sounds pretty good, The only problem I see with that is if we do end up with a good turn out it will be almost impossible for the assasins to win with a lot of mercs.

Maybe make the teams off balance so there are twice as many assassins as mercs.

Wow, too bad it's going to be a late ass game, or I'd probably be heading out. 7pm is a bit late to start for most people though. And honestly, most night games are over-rated, too.
Maybe next time when you have a game during normal hours with a higher number of MIA vets.

Fordtoughbear and his friends normally wear woodland camo. So I would add them to that side Shadow.
