If its an issue then we should take it away. The bang kill should be a privilege, If people are going to abuse it and call it at inappropriate times or just not play by it then it should be only hits count and knife kills. The point of the game is not to hurt people, your doing someone a good favor by using the bang kill. I honestly think it should be a must in airsoft and be used with good judgment. Most of us call our hits honestly, well we should do the same with our bang kills.

You can't just take the bang kill away. You have to at least give it to the snipers who have to keep major distance between them and the target. But it still boils down to: Did the one calling "bang" have dead to rights on whomever they call bang to?

Agreed, it should still be there, but it should be explained to everyone and made clear how to use it correctly. I'm not sure if it was explained at this op. or any others but before every game it should be talked about.

I think Gene may have missed it at the briefing, but usually we get it and we make very sure everyone understands it. We also usually require anyone wth a rifle hotter than cqb to carry a mandatory sidearm that is cqb useable for use in the city, or any other situation where your main rifle becomes unuseable. It works very well in the warmer season, but typically poses probems in the cold. There will always be "arguements" with the bang adn surrender rules, and sadly, it's unnavoidable.

Trust me i accecpted and gave several bang kills during the game. My only issue was that he respawned behind us, not in his spawn and then bang killed us. This whole situation ended with us agreeing to go our seperate ways, and did not seem like a big issue. Once again you are wrong. Im not being an asshole about it, so don't take it that way. Im jsut trying to clarify... I didn't come out of respawn, i had been out on the field for a while. I went up normandy then through the trail. I seen you 2 their and then took 2 bang kills. Im jsut saying next time take it ok?

I will only say this.
Rules were created with the safety of others, rules don't state that a sniper MUST carry a sidearm - and we all know sidearms preform like crap in 7 degree weather. If you can't abide by the safety rules on this board, and or the rules of a field, then I suggest you not attend those airsoft games.
Should I encounter a person who doesn't accept a bang kill, I won't argue the call, and I won't pull the trigger. I will however, speak with the organizer, and if action isn't taken I will leave and post my concerns here on this board; and trust me, it won't be pleasant.
If I seem like I'm coming off like an ass then good. Safety should not be only the players #1 concern, but the event organizers as well. There is NO excuse for poor behavior that could injure someone because rules are not respected or enforced.
Lastly, for those who believe a 'bang kill' is a sissy call, I suggest you grow up and learn that this is only a game, and the safety of others should be your #1 goal.

Bi-weekly won't happen, let alone a weekly thing. Corey has to get the go-ahead from his parents first, as it's their land, which for whatever reason, is not as easy as it should be, but that's Corey's business, and I'll leave it at that. Because of that, we really only get the field like one or 2 times a month at the most (yeah, indeed it does suck a fat one). We are not as active in the colder month's, but once spring hits, we're gonna try and get at least an event + a rec game or 2 a month, hopefully more.
