Atleast you guys will call you bang kills. I on the other hand put my shotgun to somone's face (I won't say who) and they wouldn't call it. They claimed 'you can't bang kill, you're within your engagement limit'. Say what?!?!?
Next time, I may pull the f'n trigger.

That's what she said. I'm all about the bang kill, I'm usually happy as a pig in sh*t if somebody saves me the pain and welts.

Rule of thumb is, if you have the upper hand on someone coming out of your respawn, wait until the firefighter calms down. Or go to your team, either way, don't take advantage of the situation.

Rule of thumb is, if you have the upper hand on someone coming out of your respawn, wait until the firefighter calms down. Or go to your team, either way, don't take advantage of the situation. Wait.. RULE OF THUMB? On topic: Bang kills aren't something that should be "Accepted" or "Declined". A bang kill is a friendly way of saying "Hey, I could have smoked your ass, but I decided to be a good sport about it." Not something that should be argued or not called, but just like at this game, when I was doing some work out of a building I heard this guy run past and plink the outskirts, I found a hole in the fence and I placed my barrel in that hole, I said "Call it, I had you" and he procedes to stick his pistol through the crack, and (Blindfire shooting, mind you) shoot 2 or three rounds through the fence. I then start talking to him through the fence saying "Man, I had your face in my sights" and he says "Why didn't you take the shot?".. Now, you have to ask yourself.. What is a kid thinking when he asks why a sniper didn't just take a shot on a person from point blank range when their rifle is shooting around 550 FPS? This bang rule needs to be clarified and made clear, to all event hosters / organizers: Make sure you clarify what your rules are as well as your standpoint on the bang rule, we don't need to bring in poor sportsmanship to this sport, and whenever there isn't a ref to call it, we need to know who is in the wrong. That's all I have to say about that.

Bang kills aren't something that should be "Accepted" or "Declined". A bang kill is a friendly way of saying "Hey, I could have smoked your ass, but I decided to be a good sport about it." actually the only time a bang kill is even necessary is when your gun is shooting too hot, and in that case you are doing it to prevent injuring the other player. I was doing some work out of a building I heard this guy run past and plink the outskirts, I found a hole in the fence and I placed my barrel in that hole, I said "Call it, I had you" and he procedes to stick his pistol through the crack, and (Blindfire shooting, mind you) shoot 2 or three rounds through the fence. I then start talking to him through the fence saying "Man, I had your face in my sights" and he says "Why didn't you take the shot?".. Now, you have to ask yourself.. What is a kid thinking when he asks why a sniper didn't just take a shot on a person from point blank range when their rifle is shooting around 550 FPS? a field ref should have been contacted. hell, any SFOD member would have been able to solve that situation.

Trust me i accecpted and gave several bang kills during the game. My only issue was that he respawned behind us, not in his spawn and then bang killed us. This whole situation ended with us agreeing to go our seperate ways, and did not seem like a big issue.

A bang kill can be used in more way than when your rifle is shooting hot though, I've rushed kids hiding behind various things in the past and have just yelled bang to them as my way of saying "I could have gotten you all, but I choose to be a good sport about it".
If you read the guidelines of MiA, you can see that a bang kill is something that you can say only if you have the person dead to rights and you know that you could have killed them had it been real steel.
Also, the thing that happened there, I don't know who the kid was, but he was wearing a white hoodie and he had a little spring pistol. He took a plinker shot at me when he first got in the city, missed and hit the wall behind me, and then told me that he shot me in the neck and kept on playing. I guess I'll contact an SFOD member or ref next time, thanks.

Just to clarify, I wasn't really pissed about the bang kill I took.. It was a figure of speech. I'd gladly accept it again.
I popped my head in a window and he said it out of courtesy. If I were in fact, his opponent, I'd have appreciated it. I don't want to get shot in the face at close range. That shit can hurt.
In situations similar to that, the bang kill is fair, justified and responsible.
