That is wrong as well. For an event like this, you can't put a box mag in an M4 and call it a support weapon. It has to be a replica of a support weapon. M249, M60, M2HB, RPK, RPD, AUG H-BAR, HK-21 & 23, L86A1, Ect... So if you do not have a replica of these (or other such) machine guns, It's Midcaps, Standards, and Lowcaps only. {El EDIT- Spell check don't catch everything If that is what is set for this even then fantastic! I truly look forward to my first large scale game of this nature, I have maybe two to three more that are also VERY interested! Cheers and thank you for the responses! J

I dont know if anyone has brought this up yet, but what about teams that have people on the west and east i.e. R.A.G.E? I am on the East whereas Tex and Blindshot are on the west.

^ Yeah that's a good ?.
I just see the teams being uneven regardless if we all go by the EAST/WEST locations. Exceptions are going to have to be made. Anyways I don't care, I'm really excited for this game and I'm currently working on having a new gun, upgraded and all accessories for it ready by May 2nd. Just waiting for the pre-game registration to go up.

I am very much looking forward to this. I'll be having probably 3 people with me (maybe 4 or 5 depending on if we get some of our friends in on airsoft). I'm keeping my eye open for registration.

I would PM SkyPilot about that. the AssHats are scattered all over the sate, so I'm sure he has some sort of solution to that problem. I'm also looking for people from WI who what to tag along with me to this event, so this should add people to the "western team"

I have nothing else to say I think that will definitely qualify as adding adding people to the Western Team.

Just a heads up that from our team practice tonight I brought up this event and our entire group is looking very forward to it. I would spec out about 8-10 of us from my area are going to try and join in! I know that I at least will be there for sure and can again not begin to elaborate on how exited I am to meet some of the many Airsofters from the Michigan area!

I would be glad to pre-pay in advance if this comes onto an event thread (me +3 more). On the woodland side.

Hmmm, it seems this thread has gone rather quiet. I am still being held in suspense about the event though!!

Cost: I think that one thing should be settled first, the cost should not inflate as the date approaches, and if the cost does inflate due to some 'late-fee' no one should be allowed to pay the flat rate at the door like they did on Dec20.
Mags: As for mag capacity... I am always in favor of std caps, but I would be more in favor of std capacity straight across the board, meaning support weapons should be limited as well to keep things proportional. perhaps a limit of 2 drums or 6 mags per player would be a possibility, or limiting a high-cap user to only two mags..... something to keep folks from using a small aeg as a bullet-hose...either way, the honor system is the only way to really enforce this sort of thing... besides we are talking about having 14 y/o kids there... kinda kills a bit of the realism
Age requirement: I believe that 14 may be a bit young, but I think that it is more of a case-by-case issue, some 14 y/o kids can handle this sort of thing, some can't. personally, I am in favor of allowing 14+ if they are accompanied by a participating adult such as a parent atleast 21+, this would mean that the parent or guardian has to be playing and be out on the field with the 14y/o other than that, I would recommend 16+ for unacompanied minors.
Medics: I agree with slugg, we are not talking about bomb defusal where one 'oops' blows everyone to hell. We are talking about medical attention where multiple sets of hands usually (but of course not always) helps to increase the odds of saving a life. None the less, I think we should keep it simple to keep it rolling smoothly.
Currency: I think that the idea of cash would be best handled by referees keeping track of assets i.e. who controls the ammo depot, etc. That makes things simpler, but if cash is to be handled, I would suggest that volunteers who are playing various roles( such a civilian informants), not attached to either side carry the cash to keep things fair and honest.

Well, this looks like it could need a good bumpin'. It doesn't really matter to me what side is what color, frankly, both camos can be easily acquired

I spoke to SkyPilot this evening. He is currently having technical difficulties accessing the internet. Viper: this is all tentative. Nothing is set in stone just yet. He is trying to get ideas worked out so as many people as possible can attend. Sorry to have frustrated you, but I didn't make you read it either Phantom M16: thanks for the bump. We all concluded that the selected camo are patterns 90% of MIA should already have. If you don't have it, it's not expensive or difficult to acquire. We are allowing gear of a different color than your BDU. So an OD vest on 3 color desert is fine, for example.

The problem with High cap mags is that not every gun has a cheap mid cap and not everyone can afford mid cap mags in this crappy economy.
