I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that showed up, we had a lot of fun today. Can't wait till the next game out there. It was good to see some old faces I haven't seen in a while. Tan team way to go!
Also a big thank you, to Sue for making patches for the event and to Skypilot for collecting the monies and writing the scenarios for today.
I talked to David (the owner) before we had to go and it is looking pretty good for some summer games out there as well. Hope everyone had a good time. Couldn't ask for a better Alaska setting, deep snow and all....

Today was fun! I wish our PTW's liked the cold weather today, but unfortunately they do not.. (Just out of curiosity, how many PTW batteries went kapoot today? I had 2, SFOD had at least 4, who else?) That field is terrible with 1 foot of snow on it. But in the summer it would be awesome for a huge Milsim game. There's many cool buildings, structures, and terrain to have different types of games on Most memorable part was going "Last Stand" in front of the castle during that second game...I have nothing else to say. Pics are uploading right now.

Yeah~ My first game ever! The game was fun. Thank you for organizing. Nice to meet you guys. Sorry I was a little confused by the respawn rules for the last scenario though.

Great game overall. Very thankful to be given a chance to play on the field. Looking forward to playing there more often. Very few problems, just a few surrendering requests and being shot for 5 feet away. (kid should have been kicked for it). Great people to play with met some new people. Also I would like to purchase a patch but I did not see them selling them, which sucks.

Fuck yeah. You know, I hate winter games. Running sucks, I always get cold, and leave miserable. This was one of the best games I've played at in a long time. Everything went very smoothly today, and the deep snow made the game a lot of fun. Thanks to some thermal underwear and good boots, I stayed warm all day long, too. Civie team, way to kick ass in every game. And thank you MiB for holding off the entire US side in the third game. We got to chill with the crates in the village for like, a half hour just waiting for something to do. Huxtable, you weren't the one who tried to surrender me from 20 feet away when I was behind that red four-way cross thing while you couldn't see me, right? Whoever that was complained about it as he walked away, but let me say this. You're taking a risk when you offer a surrender, and you have to be able to back it up with a kill shot. The person who tried to surrender me couldn't see me. He didn't shoot me when I put my head up to look where he was, and he didn't shoot me when I popped out again 2 seconds later and shot him. If you don't have your gun trained on a target, then the target isn't a sure kill. And if the target isn't a sure kill, you shouldn't expect an easy surrender. [edit] Chaseman, I found a mag out in the field with Monk's name written on the bottom of it. PM me and we can figure out how to get it back to you.

Quick thank you for everyone who came out and for making this game possible. It was fun getting shot and shooting all of you.
Also a special thank to OML Patches for making up patches for the game. If you are still interested in getting a patch, Sue will have them on her website shortly.
Now for the good news! I spoke with the owners and we are welcome back! They were impressed with our sportsmanship and amazed by the good times everyone was having... including how many people showed up for this game.. they were impressed by how many showed up in the cold.
Again thank you everyone! I hope you had fun. -SkyPilot
We are going to try for something in the early spring. And if that is also successful, prehaps a MEGA Game this summer.

I would be the one with the helmet camera. The frekin' thing was pointed at the tree's and at a 45 degree angle most of the time, so a major fail on my part. To top that off the cold weather played hell with the batteries inside and it would randomly turn off, so of course it turned off at all the critical moments... I may be posting a vid of corey raping me, we'll see.
BTW: Let me know if you found a mag with a magpull and HK trades on it. I lost one out there somewhere.

I forgot! CQBr, I ran the whole day on one 9.6v battery on my PTW. Probably went through about 8-10 100 round mags, too, so I wasn't light on the trigger. My gun ran without a hiccup today, except for the mag that's not jammed with a piece of plastic from my speed loader. It's going to be fun to crack open a mag with 100 bbs in it. They're going everywhere.

I had a good deal of fun today. It's a shame my primary decided to crap out on me, but thanks to great teammates I was still able to play.
Anyways... unfortunately I somehow lost my Multicam hat on the field. It was probably somewhere by the castle, so if anybody picked it up, please let me know! It's just a multicam baseball-style cap.

It's a shame my primary decided to crap out on me. I feel your pain man... Although it was kinda fun looking through my pictures and seeing everyone start with one gun in the beginning, then seeing everyone at the end and looking at all the gun changes...I have nothing else to say. Knief, what's your batt. setup on the 9.6vlt? 1) Standard Systema Factory? 2) Tamiya or Deans connectors? You DEFINITELY got the most use out of your gun today though. I only got the chance to burn through one mag which is very unlike me... ;D

Yeah, as far as I know (I bought the gun used), it's essentially factory stock, although probably tuned to run quite efficiently. And yes, it's just the Tamiya connector and a battery that's at least two years old, if not older (came with the gun). I started with my black cylinder, and then switched up to my trimmed gold part way through the day because I had no range with the black (hop up froze). I did pocket my battery during lunch so it would warm up some, and I'm sure that helped. But still, Dahm had his SAW out when we came back from lunch and Actionman had to switch to his mp5 at some point during the third game.
