This looks very complicated. I think I'm gonna print that one out hehe.
It's cool with me though; I like it complicated.

I've been working on a patch for this game. Sue 'Stich' from OML Patches has agreed to a discounted price, patches are available in Black, OD, or Tan. If you are interested, please send me a PM no later than Wednesday, December 17th, 2008. Patches are $5 each with Velcro backing.

Unfortunatly my +1 (Bomaster) has found out she has Exams the day of this event so she can't come... I've been trying to find a replacement and if I do I will let you know. If not, the Tan side will have one less player... I have NOT been able to find a replacement so you can take her off the list so we have an accurate player count. Sorry people, what can I say other than I Fail?

I have added one more element to the game I.E.D's. Can we say... Oh yea!!! I.E.D. - There will be mobile IED's on the field, actvitived by motion detector or by person. If you are within 15 feet of a IED when it goes off, you are considered dead. Only hard cover will protect you from an IED, brush, tree cover, etc will not protect you. IED in a building will make the building inaccessable for 3 minutes (Bleed out time), if you are in the building, on top, or below, you will be considered dead.

Dang, I was hoping I could be a medic at the event. I like the card value, they do that in paintball. Will the IED have any kind of warning? IRL they don't but just wondering is all.

Well, as excited as I am for this event, it's going to exemplify the golden rule of Airsoft event planning: People are dumb. When the testosterone starts to flow, don't expect most people to use their brain. At the last several events I've attended with large, complex systems of objectives, people begin to whine, complain, and before you know it, they revert to the standard 'Kill everyone that's not wearing my camo' mindset. The problem lies in the fact that our beloved sport is bringing on so many new and non-experienced players that come from the worlds of shoot em up video games and paintball.
That was all just to say, i don't think the scenario's will work, but I'm still very much looking forward to the games. I'll do my best to keep people on track with goals and objectives, but I'm looking forward to the later part of the day when we just run pick-up games with basic goals.

Yea 35mm, the long scenarios can get people to not understand what to do. I recently played in ohio and we found the vip and then went " are we supposed to shoot him or escort him somewhere" I think as long as there are refs there to remind us here and there it will work. Also, If they gave every few players a printed version of the of our objectives that would help prevent the confusion that happens.

What you need with this kind of scenario is for your team leader to read up on the objectives and understand them as best he can. He should be the one to keep his unit going towards the objectives.
That is one of the reasons I love playing on Task Force: Iris. Our leaders know whats going on as soon as the info comes out. When the game starts they seem to know what every squad should be doing and they keep communication up with other squads/leaders so they have the BIG picture most of the time.

EVERYONE, getting together leadership within the team is up to you. If you want leadership and focus on goals then use this thread to discuss... that's what it is for.
If your team falls short of the goals because of leadership and direction, then it's nobodies fault except you and your team. If leadership isn't strong, then someone else needs to step up and take control.
Now, good thing is that both sides are mostly made up of several different teams... rather than indivuals. This should help each team organize and plan objectives.
The goals in Scenario 1 are simple. 1. Recon 2. Kill the MIB 3. Get the Crates.
Scenario's 2-4 are: 1. Kill the MIB 2. Get the Crates.
NOTE: If you come to the game unprepared for the scenario (not taking the time to read the objectives and rules), then you don't belong in this game. If you just want to shoot people, then goto a REC game!
Teams have now been finalized are now locked. Get with your team and make plans, etc.

So is anyone stepping up for leadership on the US side? If someone doesn't step up soon then I'll take the role.

Normally I would, but I would like to get some trigger time in my ghillie suit. I would definately like to make sure we all know who the leader is though, and that he can reliably organize our forces.
