Dude... ghillie suit? You realize there is supposed to be over half a foot of snow? Unless you come dressed as the KKK, don't expect to blend very well.

Just for the record, I've used a ghille suit in more than a half of foot of snow with great success.

Has everyone looked closely at the rules? A few to aware of...
#4 - No head shots.. no exceptions. While we all try to avoid it, sometimes that is the only shot you have. 20ft engagement minimum for all guns. We will have to really watch this.
#8 - No physical contact at all. So no tapping someone for a knife kill?
#18 - 400 FPS max for all AEG's. I know it is close to the MIA max of 409, but some of us may be on the edge.
I know it was mentioned that they are providing refs. So we really have to be careful to watch these rules since they are a bit different than we are used to. I would also anticipate them being pretty strict with us. Chase, Sky.. any thoughts?

18 should not be a problem due to the cold, but I too have concerns on 5, and 8, I know 20 feet isn't very far away, but in a lot of these areas such as in a fort or trench, you will be put in a very close environment. I think they did this to simplify the arms length vs 20 ft engaugement rules we use on MIA, but if these refs are strict on us I do believe there will be room for incidents.

#4 Head shots. It's simple really, if you have a bodyshot take it. There are many people out there who think they are slaying Zombies or playing Doom and need to take a headshot.
If a Ref sees you intentionally take a headshot (when the body is open), then that maybe a problem... and a problem with me too.
#20 20feet engagement... I will say this, they took the rules from CPX, not MIA. I don't think it'll be a problem if we keep to MIA Standards..
And rememeber Parlay. It's not mentioned in the rules, but if we can use Parlay then it shows we are safe and prehaps the rules will change a little.
Trust me, I know how all you feel about that... I know have a 100ft engagement on my sniper rifle.
If we all Play smart, and play safe, then we won't have any issues.

Yea, And I was told once. If you get hit with a burst of 3 or 5 and one round hits your head. If you say something like "dang, right in the face" make sure to say the rest didn't. The refs told me in paintball that they only consider it a headshot if that is the only point they were shot. In paintball they can see it, but not in airsoft. Just something I learned from the Tippman world challenge back in like 2001 or something.

So if All you see is their head sticking out you aren't allowed to shoot? That is all you see most often unless you can shot their gun hand eveytime. Are gun hits counting?

Gun hits are not a kill. The rules say the gun is disabled for the rest of the game? Does that mean you respawn with a broken gun?? Or do respawns fix your gun?

Allen,
Do we have a certain amount of leeway when it comes to non-safety oriented rules? That is, almost no airsoft fields (at least in Michigan) count a gun hit as disabling the gun. And what if you want to set up your own medic system that works better for your game, rather than using the one that they "provide."
We won't have to worry about pistol engagement stuff because pistols ain't working in this cold. I'm slinging my shottie on my back for a sidearm.
