Storyline
30 November: Two divisions of US Airborne dropped in North Korea’s eastern mountains to secure the region for operations on P’yongyang. Codename: Deep Snow is to be coordinated with amphibious landings to draw North Korean fighting units away from the central DMZ region
2 December: The 184th Airborne Brigade is held up outside the city of Pujon. Enemy unit in the area has been identified as the 37th Mountain Division of the DPRK Home Defense Guard. Resistance is increasingly heavy
5 December:
1600 Hours: Amphibious landings called off due to lack of progress with airborne operations. The 184th digs in along the outlying districts of Pujon. Supplies are called in to support a holding action
2100 Hours: Supply Transports report receiving heavy Anti-aircraft fire. Supplies are dropped beyond airborne positions.
2345 Hours: 184th Airborne Brigade ordered to secure the temporary drop zone and destroy reported anti-aircraft sites in that sector. Once secured, re-supplying will resume.
6 December
0500 Hours: Initial scouting of objective reports two abandoned FOP (forward operating base) along with a fuel dump. Supply Parachutes have been spotted in several locations, in addition to 3 SAM sites.
1200 Hours: Lead units of the 184th move on Pujon objectives. Secondary scouting reports suggest similarly sized North Korean units moving in the direction of the temporary drop zone
