There should have been a rule established when you can only be medic'd once per life, and after that you had to go respawn. That's something that would have altered game play significantly. Also, we should have required people to yell "HIT!" or at least lay down and pull out the red rag, I really only saw like 3 kill rags pulled out the entire day, which led to me shooting people multiple times (sorry). Over all, not too bad, briefings needed a lot of work, you really have to take charge and just tell them what they have to do, the rules, etc. And if people aren't listening, holler at them like I did, everyone normally looks then. Also, time management, I cannot stress this more. If people aren't ready at briefing with loading their mags... who cares? Yell, blow a horn, something, get everyone's attention and tell them to gather around. Also, when you say "5 minutes to briefing" really make it 5 minutes and not 15-20. Rules were a little goofy, and I would suggest a 5min bleed-out with respawns every 15, it worked flawlessly at the last 2 events that we have run it. Also, using a "point based system" was likely a bad idea, as that wasn't explained and well, the Insurgents had no idea about it, hence the reason they just stayed up there and protected those contractors. The IED's.... well that was just something that didn't work out as planned they were small and black and nobody really payed attention to them. It was a good idea, which I utilized in the 2nd scenario (quite well if you ask me ) by having a civilian blow up an insurgent or two with one. I also had the epic plan which Maverick described, by planting an IED on the Mosque and planning on having a sniper take the shot to blow it up on the Insurgents once they brought the HVT there. Sadly a civilian killed him... something I was furious about at the time, and now that I look back on it, I'm still pissy about it. Most of the civies acted appropriately, but there were a few bad seeds who were just out there to see how much they could mess with us, which was quite unfortunate. Dodging Knief's bb's and then fireman carrying a wounded player back to safe cover, crawling through the creek to get to a planted bomb which Knife secretly hid... bastard, paying a civilian to blow up Actionman with an IED and then scream "ALA AKHBAR!" were just some of the highlights of the day. If only my radio didn't squelch almost everyones transmissions, and my LAW hadn't been tampered with, it would have been that much better. Over all I enjoyed it, mainly because of the honesty of everyone, but there are some improvements which could have been made.

I thought the integrity level was pretty high yesterday, too, until I saw that my car had been keyed on both sides. I had borrowed my mom's car to carpool, thanks asshole.

I apperently attracted the blurry in those pictures.
Tex sucks at finding things. The medic rules would not have changed the bomb being planted, just the part where we escaped. The bomb was brought up by Element, and delivered to me. He was never shot on the way there, and I wasn't shot until after I had planted it.
Edit: Knief, your car was keyed?

Had a great time guys. Gent, Canto, Tex and eeervrybody who helped put this together, Job well done. I regret having to leave early, but the first half of the game was worth the $20, and Im sure the second half was just as good.
Lookin forward to more like it.

2) In the second scenario when hellfish and some other guys took Foxtrot from the West side, I was behind you guys sniping. I hit this one kid 3 times, every time he looked around and checked to see who was shooting them, and since I was hidden, he just kept playing. That forced me to start aiming head level, so sorry for anyone who was hit there in the second scenario. To address this real quick: When we took Foxtrot we had two medics (I was one and a black talon member was another) so odds are when you shot someone they were healed and then active again. From someone crouched in the fetal position behind miniscule cover (and a medic) I promise you, guys were calling out (almost too much ) I was hitting you guys pretty hard *no homo*, but the one kid I shot those 3 times in under 30 seconds, and he never called hit or medic. Maybe he silently did it or something, but that is the only guy I ever had a problem with, I mean someone even called my helmet shot at 85 yards

Nice shot if it was from 85 yards. If you were aiming for me, thank you for hitting me in the helmet rather than someplace else. Doesn't hurt and its super easy to know that I've been hit.

Game was pretty good. The vegetation on the western hillsides edge was quite thick, I couldn't see anyone on it. I would have enjoyed the field a lot more had it not been so wet. As it was there was only one decent way across the creek to get up the western hill, and that partially exposed you to enemy fire. All in all, a good time.
CQBR, I'm glad someone got some pics of me. I had no idea how much of a badass I appear to be.
My pics are now up in the Gallery.

Well what can I say, that hasn't been addressed already. That was an excellent first Op. Could have better, could have been a lot worse. The terrain makes it hard to have successful surges, and encourages camping. To that effect, the 2nd game we camped on the ridge because... we weren't supposed to destroy the building until a certain time window. So why try to hold them for an hour and take massive casualties, if we can't complete the objective until time A to time B? If we want to blow it up, why not let us blow it up at our earliest convenience? Civilians. Interesting concept. Although sometimes they operated more like mercs. Seriously, would a suicide bomber really suicide terrorist forces? No. They might rat us out, but they aren't going to suicide bomb us in reality. I know we are playing airsoft, but it was Milsim. If anything the "radicals" would have been on our side. Regardless. Except from a few confusing altercations, and some non-role related attitudes, the civvies did a descent job. Actually Dingo, you were "shoveled", not hammered. Little different in practicality, but technically that was what happened. Overall descent Op. I enjoyed myself. I think most of the Talons had a good time. Good job Gentner on your first Op. Good ideas. Keep it up. Blindshot- Always a good time man. We really enjoy talking to you, and shootin' the bull. Thanks for taking Tex out for us. That was just funny man. Maybe one of these times we will play on the same team. Tex- Always a good time screwing with you. We appreciate this somehow evolved "rivalry", and are glad you are good sport about it. We'll be waiting for you to try to take out our whole team with the LAW. Knief- Good to put a name and a face together. Despite our petty arguments on the forum over different worldviews, I was glad to see that wasn't at all reflected in working together to send infidels to their maker. You actually are a great guy. And I am in love with that Systema. Your extreme range sniperesque kills were amazing on the ridge. Good times, good times. Theacionman- You did a good job, orchestrating Allah's Will. Thanks for stepping up and leading us to victory over the infidels, regardless of what the points say. Hellfish- Glad to meet you guys. Finally got to meet a lot of you, and put names to faces. Good group of guys. Hope we get to play together again. No cheating was cool. Despite some strange circumstances with civvies everything was very professional and honest. Thanks everybody for that. From me and all the Black Talons, thank you guys for a fun event and good times on and off the field. Until next time, Allah Ackba!!!!

Thanks a bunch Nexus. I'm can safely say I speak for all of the Hellfish when I say that we'd love to have Black Talon watching our backs anytime.

Nexus,
I was really glad that we got to play together yesterday. You and your teammates were just a lot of fun to play with, and I hope we get to do it again soon. I really can't remember a team that I've had a better time with and that I've seen play so honorably. We may have opposite life views, but that's no reason why we shouldn't have fun together, especially when we're both trying to peg Tex.

Task Force: Iris was fun to play with I agree Black Talon. You guys really helped add to our team. You didn't alienate yourselves or get intimidated about how we hellfish always crack gay jokes. +1 to your entire team for being very open to some of our strategies and not bitching about it (figure I'm on the team, and I usually bitch about it)

I'd say this was a great Op. Definitely worth the money and the drive (even though I didn't drive). Sure, there were a few problems with the civilians, but I think those have already been covered plenty. Plus, every game is going to have problems, it's just a fact of life. Anyways, I definitely enjoyed having Black Talon on our team, great job guys. And I'd definitely do my best to make it out to other games on this field, even though it is like 2 hours away. Oh, and cqbr's dad- Thanks for getting a good pic of me!! EDIT: Knief, your car was keyed?! I never noticed that, and I didn't think I saw anything at lunch... I mean, wow, that's surprising for the type of people who played (I think everyone was good on the whole not-cheating thing). Any chance it was one of those paintballers?

I didn't notice it until my mom pointed it out this morning (before the car left my garage, mind you). They're small marks, maybe only 2-3 inches long, but very distinct zig-zags that cut through the paint. If it was just one, I'd assume somebody had just leaned a gun up against the body and it got nudged or slipped or something. But there's two scratches in similar patterns, one on each side of the vehicle.
I was pretty socked by it, since I've never seen or experienced something like that through 7 years of going to airsoft games. And yeah, I thought the caliber of the people attending Diamondback was higher than that of most airsoft events I've been to. I guess there was at least one person who I misjudged. I don't want to make it sound like I'm knocking everybody there, because I do still believe that this game had some of the most upstanding players in the state in attendance. It just also had one or two jackasses there, too.

Unfortunately, we'll never know who it was now. It may not even have been someone from the event. The field had an equal number of paintballers in an out during the day.
