I live about 10 minutes from the field so chances are I will make it for sure. Probably +2 or 3 as well with me. I've never attended an OP before and had some questions. Should I PM them or just ask away on here?

You will get a lot of answers here by posting your question

Sounds good. I'll look into the stickies for the general rules for FPS limits and such but is there anything else I should be aware of that's not listed in the general rules? As of right now, myself, nor the others that may attend with me have much tactical gear. I have an OD vest and a woodland boonie. I don't care if we are all on the same team, but if you need Rebels still, we could go civilian clothes and join the Rebel team. Is there any other special things I should be aware of? I'll be bringing my primary as well as secondary, but the people I'm coming with just have basically primaries and not too much else in the way of gear. I realize eye protection is important so if full face is required we'll have to get something in the way of that. Also, what about mags? Do you have some form of limit on mag capacity, or is it just bring what you got? Thanks guys and I'm really looking forward to attending my first OP. P.S. Chaseman, I beleive you or some people on your team know Noah from HobbyTown in Grand Blanc. We're currently trying to get him involved in airsoft. If he gets rid of some paintball materials and gets an AEG by then he will most likely be attending with us. Also, check your email, I sent you a lil tidbit.

im pretty sure its just full seal goggles required, and ammo limits are usually around 1000 or 1200 rounds aloud a round, but since it does look like it says it anywhere it might be as much as you want... not sure on that though

Well 1000 works for me. I'm making the switch from hicaps (2 @ 750 total) to mag midcaps. I'll most likely be using 4 mag midcaps giving me about 400 bb's per round. If I need to, I could always toss in a couple full speed loaders for another 200 or so bb's for reloading the mids. What's the normal amount M4 users carry in a round?

Full Seal goggles are a MUST.
Honestly, if you guys have woodland camo, or any of the government uniforms- we need Government players in the worst way. They're pretty short staffed, and I'd really prefer not to make people change teams to balance it unless I absolutely have to.
Everything else oughta be listed in the general rules stickies.
As for an ammo limit, I'll haveto get back to ya'll on that one.

SniperI'll have to see what I can do. I have an OD vest as well as a woodland boonie, but that's about it. If I can get some woodland bdu's or camo tops and bottoms can I still use my OD vest or would I have to omit that? Edit.. I just saw the (except OD) in the updated rules. So I'm guessing the OD vest is out.

This is what I see used most often and is pretty standard for most OPs.

Thanks Tex.
I have a feeling we'll be sticking with that ruling, but I'll have to confirm with Fox before I can give you a definite Yes/ No answer.
He's the one hosting the event and calling the shots, I'm just a messenger.

Tex, those aren't MiA regulations, which is what this event will most likely follow. MiA velocity limits are as follows:
OUTDOOR/OPEN FIELD ENGAGEMENT LIMITS
• 1.0 - 350.9 fps - Arms length engagement limit
• 351.0 - 410.9 fps - 20 foot engagement limit
• 411.0 - 550.9 fps – 50 foot engagement limit, bolt action or permanent* semi-auto replicas only
• 551.0+ fps - Prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only
*Permanent semi-auto refers to replicas that do not have full-auto fire capability, no matter how the selector switch or other user input device is manipulated.
INDOOR/CLOSE QUARTER BATTLE (CQB)/ENCLOSED FIELD ENGAGEMENT LIMITS
• 1.0 - 350.9 fps – Arms length engagement limit
• 351.0+ fps – prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only
Ronjon, You can wear any color vest that you want. Camo requirements are specific to the clothes that you wear, not the gear you wear over those clothes. Most people have solid OD, black, or tan vests, and will be wearing those over whatever camo they need for meet their team's requirements. For example, I would wear my solid OD vest over my woodland MARPAT to play for the government side, or the same OD vest over multicam to play for the rebel side.

Oh snap! Yes, I wasnt paying close attention to the FPS regs Tex listed, I was commenting on the ammo limits.
We will most DEFINITELY be using the MiA regs for FPS that Knief posted above.

Sounds great guys. Thanks for all the info. I'll definitely be able to get together some woodland gear for the OP. Count me in as a Government agent... ewww. I've been wanting to get some woodland gear regardless so this gives me a perfect excuse. I'll get in touch with the other folks who might be attending with me and get confirmation from them as well. Once I get concrete information I'll post or PM you to let you know. Also, there will be a chronograph there correct? I've never honestly chrono'd my gun so I'm not sure what it shoots. From reviews I read they say anywhere from 290 range to 330. It's a stock ICS M4 2k6. Edit: Sounds good about the fps. I'm interested to see how it shoots anyway.

There will be a chronograph on site, and all guns will be chrono'd prior to the game.
If it's bone stock, it should still be shooting under 350 FPS, so you'll be fine.

2000 rounds for the average rifleman? Yikes. Spray and pray central.
