I'm at the 'itchy because it's flaking' stage but I went to the hospital on Wednesday because my elbow swelled up like a balloon. This shit is nasty! The docs wanted to put me on prednisone but I'm just taking Benadryl and trying to stay awake.

The Ca M249 weighs 14-17 lbs. the Star only 7.5 wow! Seems to be a big difference. I think he is still going with the M249 para By CA. He's 18 and can lug it. For the SAW people CA MkII 249 SAW completely loaded is between 20-22lbs. it is all medal, and that adds to the weight and the great realistic way it feels. STAR MkII 249 SAW has a polycarb gear box, which i can contest that they are very strong in that matter. I have a STAR LA85A2 and it has a lot through her. Also the STAR SAW is made out of a lot of plastic, so the weight is dropped quite a bit. Just thought I would put this out there. Doc

10-4 on the poison ivy! I thought i dodged the bullet until tuesday when I had a major break out! Both arms, neck and a few small spots I don't want to talk about!! It is a nasty strain because it's not responding to my old tried and true cures. I had to go buy the expensive stuff from Walgreens yesterday and I'm not sure it's going to speed things up or not? I am even thinking that Thunder is a no-go this weekend if I don't see some quick improvement because the idea of a weekend of roughing it (without a shower) while this stuff eats my flesh really sucks!! Must have got it on my gloves and shirt while belly crawling thru the low area on the northwest side of the village and then spread it around when I took the stuff off during lunch. Pisses me off too because I had the bottle of "Ivy Shield" in my pack and never took the time to use it! Rogue=Dumbass!

Something to be said for long sleeves and gloves! Did any of you guys, play in the pistol matches in the other woods they had? Cause none of our team did and so far nobody has had any form the team. I no this sounds crazy, but you guy's need to take an oatmeal bath and get the old pink stuff "Calamine Lotion" I know it was hot as hell at the OP and I was miserable.... But only for one day and my sweat washed off in the shower and the clothes in the washer ( By them self's) Your military BDU's are there to do more than make you look cool, it will help protect your body from the elements ie' spiders, snakes, bee's, Ivy, and other shit that lurks in the woods, buildings and anywhere else we play.
Not trying to be a dick... trying to help out for the next OP. Remember it's all fun and games... Till your itchin like a bitch or hurt. Carebeful

I've got poison Ivy up one forearm and on my other elbow, and it's definitely nastier than any other time I've had it. This stuff is definitely a bitch.
Chaseman, sweat may wash off, but I'll take poison ivy for a couple weeks over heat stroke. Keeping cool can be the most important thing you do on the field after keeping your eyes protected.
