Would our team photographer have to pay the 25 dollars or would she get in for free since she isn't playing. Kojak, if your photographer has no intention of playing, then no- we wont require her to pay. Though we would ask that she wear some kind of blaze/ hunter orange to clearly ID her as a noncombatant and wear a full paintball mask for protection sake, as well as to make sure that she DOES NOT under any circumstances interfere with gameplay. If she stays out of the way and takes snapshots in a way that doesnt interfere with the game, then that'll be fine. what is the plan for food? also, bathrooms on site? There is food in town- Burger King, McDonalds, a couple Pizza places, Taco Bell, and even a few sit down restaraunts and a Tim Hortons. I'm sure Fox and I will be able to schedule a break sometime in the day for lunch. As for bathrooms, we do not have the kind of money it'd take to rent out a porta-potty, so that leaves us with 2 options. 1) There is a gas station about a half mile up the road from the field where you could go use the bathroom. As well as a multitude of restaraunts up in town. 2) You can always "tactically engage the treeline" in a manner of speaking, if you catch our drift. Adding objectives to an inadequately manned group isn't going to boost enrollment, it will just make it more difficult for that group to complete any of their assigned objectives. Our thinking behind giving them more objectives was that if we give the rebel side a bit more to do than babysit 3 buildings, more people might be interested in joining. Also, with the addition of Multicam to their camo repertoire, the rebels will not be nearly as inadequately manned as before. Concerning camo on the rebel side; Is it acceptable to have half woodland, such as wearing woodland camo bottoms and a civilian top? Yes, that would be perfectly fine, and I made a note about that in the final draft of the write-up for future reference. Also, the final draft is now online. -Wolf

Just remember, if you have the rebels wearing half of the government's camo, they'll be indistinguishable from the government players if you can only see that half of them. As in, a rebel is popping his upper body over a wall while wearing a woodland shirt. It doesn't matter that he has black pants on, because the government guys can't see those. If you don't mind that, or that's what you're going for, then cool. But if not, and you want players to be easily identified even if they're not in full view, then don't allow anybody on either team to wear any clothing that is allowed for the opposite team.

I would stand my ground on the camo issues, otherwise it will get confusing.

So the $25 doesn't include food/running water/restroom facilities?
If so, I'm going to have to reconsider coming, considering the money I will need to spend on said items.

Tex, i was thinking the same thing.
also, Knief, a good rule for the civilian clothing issue, is that you are only allowed to wear the woodland camo bottoms, not top. with the bottoms, wear a black or other off color top, that way it is not too confusing.

Knief - You brought up a very valid point, and while my thinking was to have them use Gov't pants and civilian tops, I realized it was not worded clear enough and has been since reworded to reflect that.
Tex - We will have running water an electricity on site, but no- we cannot provide food or restroom facilities for the game.
But yes, we believe the game is worth the $25 a head, considering the quality of the field. We've all put countless hours of back breaking work into the field, as well as thousands upon thousands of dollars into materials.
We understand that a lot of you will be traveling a long way for this game, but at the same time- I'm done bending over backwards to make everyone happy. $25 is the price we're asking, and for the quality of the field we'll be providing, w believe that is more than fair- even without food or bathrooms.
If you're really concerned about food and restrooms, there's a gas station less than half a mile up the road for restrooms, and there's a little caesar's in town that sells a whole pizza for $5.
I'm at the point now, where as I said, I'm done bending over backwards to make everyone happy. We're standing firm with the $25 admission price. If you cant make it due to the price, that's regrettable, but the game will go on regardless.

Alrighty, have fun then. Just saying, last OP I attended was a great field, 20 bucks and included 2 full meals and restroom facilities, etc.
You don't want to take my advice with including even say, a Lil Caesars pizza, so be it. And you're running an OP, it's your job to bend over backwards, especially when people are dropping $40 in gas to attend the OP.
It's a shame too, Sundays are the only Full days I can play on. :\

Based on Wolf's last response, I don't want any more discussion of whether the event is worth it. If you don't think it's worth it, don't sign up. If you can't let it go, PM Sniper Wolf. Sniper Wolf, if you do want to have that discussion here, just say so and I'll relent.

Sign me up for the GK/MC crew. The field is intriguing, and it looks like a fun event.
