My biggest problem with the current camo rules is that your site is predominantly wooded, or at least that's the impression I get from the pictures. If I had to pick a pattern to wear, again going from the pictures, I'd go in this order: Multicam, Marpat, Woodland, Tiger Stripe, OD, other. So right now the best camo is reserved for the organizers or NPCs, the next best 4 are on one side, and the weaker patterns and the people without camo end up on the rebel side. You might want to move MARPAT to the rebel side. it doesn't look like Woodland, Tiger, or OD, so it won't create an IFF problem.
One other suggestion: When people register (such as it is), ask which of the available patterns they'll be wearing. That way you can figure out what patterns you could move to even things out.
As I said before, GK uses MC or Woodland. If Multicam isn't an option, the Old Folks' Team will be in Woodland.

As I said, the pictures do not do the city any real justice. Woodland and other green camouflages work great in the treeline and the surrounding area, but once you're inside the city, you'll stand out like a sore thumb. However, once you're within the city walls, the best camouflage to wear (We have found) are shade of Desert and urban camouflage.
Our thinking behind the Woodland Gov't and the Desert Rebels is simple:
1) The rebels will be starting within the city, protecting their stronghold. Desert camouflage will provide them the greatest advantage from within the city walls.
2) The government troops will be starting at a drop point within the woods, from which they will draw the greatest advantage from the greener camouflages, such as woodland, tiger stripe, etc.
3) Due to the bombardment of questions about the multicam issue and a tremendous amount of debate between Gray Fox and myself, we have decided to come right out with the reasoning behind the multicam "suprise".
As was said in the storyline to the event, the SL gov't has prepared certain countermeasures to meet the SEAL threat. This countermeasure we've been planning is a small team of Mercenaries, clad in Multicam- whose objectives will be to undo or prevent SEAL Team 3 from completing their objectives.
It is because of this that the players for the mercenary team (which is now completely filled) have been selected discreetly, and why Fox and I plan on hand picking the 12 people that will compose SEAL Team 3. I'm not going to lie, the SEAL team is going to have one HELL of a long day ahead of them, but if anyone thinks they're up to the challenge, they are welcome to PM me and express interest in joining the SEAL team.
I hope this clears up the majority of your questions and concerns. If there is anything else we can do to answer your further questions or concerns please feel free to voice them either via the board or in PM form to me.

I'm thinking of getting a couple friends together and coming out to this. Is there a waiver that those of us under 18 need to sign?
Your reasoning behind making the Rebels wear Desert is sound, but may not work out. Very few people/teams here in MI wear it, so there is a small pool of players that will be available. With giving people the choice between Desert and Civilian for the Rebels, I think your going to have a hard time filling the team up.

Fox and I have had quite the intense debate over the last 30 minutes and we've decided that once again, we'll be revamping the camo rules.
[glow=red,2,300]Multicam is now considered Rebel camouflage[/glow]
The mercenary role will be filled by SFOD staff dressed as civilian contractors (we were initially going to abolish the mercenary team altogether, but we realized that they were so ingrained in the storyline that we would be unable to do so).
Also, to boost the enrollment on the Rebel side, we will be adding to their objectives. 1) Defend the Rebel artillery site 2) Defend Mortar Tubes 3) Take over Crematorium 4) Defend Radio Station
Now, I will be posting a full work-up of the scenario tomorrow evening, complete with these new objectives and the updated camouflage and roster will be posted at that time as well.
I realize that no matter how I try and do this, I cant make everyone happy here, but hopefully with the final draft up tomorrow, this whole multicam and lack of rebels issue will be put to rest PERMANENTLY, and we can get on with the planning of the op as well as player registration.
-Wolf
[Edit: Yes, under 18 needs to sign a waiver]
P.S. - Tomorrow's write up will be the [glow=red,2,300]FINAL[/glow] draft, for those of you who are getting upset about us constantly modifying the scenario details.

Kudos to you for adapting, Sniper Wolf. I don't know why anyone would get too hung up on scenario changes when it's five weeks before the op.

I'm thinking I might try to get my team to attend this game, There would be between 6-15 of us comming. We would be on the rebel team wearing desert. Would our team photographer have to pay the 25 dollars or would she get in for free since she is'nt playing?

Count me in for the rebels, in MultiCam. Also, to boost the enrollment on the Rebel side, we will be adding to their objectives. 1) Defend the Rebel artillery site 2) Defend Mortar Tubes 3) Take over Crematorium 4) Defend Radio Station Adding objectives to an inadequately manned group isn't going to boost enrollment, it will just make it more difficult for that group to complete any of their assigned objectives.

You guys are doing a great job, and like you said you can never make everyone happy, the shitty part about planning an event is all the complaining, I will be bringing a highly skilled team to boost the rebels, and yes the camera girl is hot. Does she have to pay?

Concerning camo on the rebel side; Is it acceptable to have half woodland, such as wearing woodland camo bottoms and a civilian top?
On a side note, I WILL be attending this event, put me down on the rebel side. I'll be bringing some others along too, I'm just not sure who can and can't come yet, so put my name down and I'll either post again or send a PM to (Hadoken or Sniper Wolf?) with the number of my party. Thanks, I'm really looking forward to this one, it looks awsome
EDIT: I'm coming with just one other person for sure now. I'll have the others sign up by themselves if they want to come.
+2 for the rebels
