CODENAME: Thunder IV August 11-12th 2007 @ Sherwood Forest -N. Indiana (One hour East of Downtown Chicago) The Thunder returns...INtel Drug lord Hector Chiro, long thought to be killed in the US attacks on his Cartel mercenaries, has surfaced in the Mountain regions of Colombia along with new allies, vowing to return to his mansion and resurrect his once mighty empire. Since the fighting with the Chiro Cartel ended, the U.S. attempted to stabilize the newly formed Colombian government, but encountered stiff resistance and massive corruption on all levels. The Pentagon, dealing with crisises in other theaters began to withdraw the majority of its forces to deal with more immenent threats. Along with DEA and CIA operatives, the U.S. left a small garrison of troops, advisors and contractors to maintain control. After escaping the US Forces, Chiro sought refuge in nearby Venezeula, where he was accepted as a hero. From bases within Venezeula he arranged meetings with other regional DrugLords, International Arms Dealers and militant organizations, Hector Chiro is now ready to once again return as Colombia's premier Drug Cartel leader. With the help of rival drug cartels, militant radicals, a series of terror attacks, and kidnappings, Chiro and his surviving lieutenants have managed to gain a foothold in Colombia and reclaim some of their former cocoa farms and factories for drug production. General McTate, commander of US Forces, had gained fame and popularity amongst the American people after the short lived victory over the Cartel. Rumors of a Presidential run by McTate have cooled since Chiro has come out of hiding, as the current President has attempted to make McTate the scapegoat for Chiros return, to save his own reputation. With his sights on the Presidency, McTate must finish the Cartel off once and for all. The President of the United States has persuaded some allies to join its Coalition Forces, including US, British, German, Philippine, and Russian units to battle the scourge of the international drug trade. That Castle pic is old. They've done a ton of improvements to the field since CT2, check'em out. Cmdr McTaint will be back for Film purposes. We are looking for an "XO" to lead the team. Here are some pics from Sherwood Forest: The CastleThe Sherwwod Castle is a three-story structure complete with a moat, catacombs, multiple rooms/passage ways, six towers, and is lit at night by torches... View from Inside the Castle- out:Outside of the Castle is 18 buildings, two defensive walls, a moat, three bridges and multiple walls/bunkers to attack/defend. Main Castle Entrance:Inside View of New Fort since CT2:Complete with two structures a connecting bridge over a ravine and located on top of a hill in a newer area of the field, this baby is impressive and difficult to attack... Another New Fort/Objective:Built in the semi-open area near the center of the AO, this two story structure make holding the center ground easier. Also the "open" area have other structures and bunkers making it much easier to assault and to ambush Armored Vehicles. The field has also cut several more Tank trails, making it easier for the Armored Vehicles to get around the AO to support Assaults, capture objectives or accomplish missions. There isn't too many places they can't get to now... More Info / Larger Pics at: www.CodenameThunder.com

Official Thunder Forums moved to www.IllinoisAirsoft.com due to spammers and other tecnical issues. The forums on the Thunder website will be coming down soon. Located there will be discussions on rules, teams, tactics and other event info. Private Cartel /US forums will be located here as well. You will have access to those once pre-registered for the event and an account on IlinoisAirsoft. If you already registered, please pm me to get activated. Some pretty interesting changes in the works for this year, getting a good interest from teams and players from farther east, Ohio, Kentucky and Pennsylvania, so looks like some new targets/opponents/friends as well.

It's gonna be BADASS! I just mounted my 203 onto my new Echo1 M16 (I don't recommend doing it, it was a bitch and a half, much credit goes to redcell) so I'm ready to go. The test run for it will be at Safari Strike this coming weekend.

Yeah that full face protection was pretty gay, they kicked people out who were just trying to drink out of their camelbaks.

Is there still a full-face protection requirement? Full seal and balaclava/shemagh. Under 18yo full face.

Yeah that full face protection was pretty gay, they kicked people out who were just trying to drink out of their camelbaks. Some of the refs were very strict for sure, rules are rules and disobeying them is less than honorable playing, but I doubt anyone got kicked out for drinking from a camelbak. I wasn't made aware of it if it did happen. The only people who were kicked out last year were two cheaters.
