REC : Area 51 Paintball, Northern MI, 6/21

Flipper asked me to post this. Seems Area 51 is holding some games this summer for the northern folks.

Area51 Paintball open airsoft day, Saturday June 21st, 2008.

Field cost is $15.00 for the day ( noon to 6:30pm)

Directions:
Approaching from the south (Western Michigan): Follow US 131 north approximately 8.5 miles from Kalkaska.

If you are approaching from south-central Michigan: Follow US 27 North to Grayling, then west on M-72 to US 131 in Kalkaska (M-72 dead-ends into US 131. Then following the directions as outlined above.

Approaching from the south east part of the state: Take I-75 to Grayling, then west on M-72 to US 131 in Kalkaska. Again, following the same directions from Kalkaska as outlined above.

From the Gaylord are: follow M-32 from Gaylord to Alba Road, then west to Alba and US 131. Go south on US 131 through Mancelona approximately 5 miles to field.

If you are traveling from the U.P. or north east part of the state, travel to I-75, then south to Gaylord, then follow the directions outlined from Gaylord.

If you are approaching from the Petosky area, follow US 131 to Mancelona, then follow the directions from Mancelona to the Area 51 Paintball location.

Thanks for posting it Tali. There are about 8 of us from Alpena going so far, should be a blast!

Full seal goggles are required, paintball masks are not.

I'm in.
My M4 is a go and I just installed the finishing touches on my loadout. I may be bringing my wife too, depends on wether I can snag a vest for her. OD or Coyote. Weesatch or XDraw.

By the way everbody, this field OWNS! I've been once and many people here from Kalitta have been as well and it's a great place to play. Owners are pretty cool people, too.

My van can seat 6 big people comfortably plus gear. Plan is Oscoda-Alpena, then pool from the bay on over to A' 51.

I may or may not go... since it's so close, I can make the call the day before =p Gotta see how work plays out. I'll probably head out, at least shoot a little bit & support local airsoft.

I should be there man. There is 1 open house that day, and I might hit the game and then hit up the open house later that day. Hmmm, I'll most likely be there with a friend. I'll consider it my birthday airsoft game, as it's the next day

It is going to be an awefully small game with just 10 of us, I have nothing else to say.

But that makes for just more intense games and forces you to be more aware.

Well tomorrow is the day, I hope a few of you can make it out. Should prove to be an interresting day. I believe a few State Troopers from our area are going to be there as well.
