Does anyone have any experience using a single M4 magazine shingle (open top) pouch for a G36c magazine? I'm looking for some pouches for my PC and can't seem to find any information on this. Please let me know if anyone has any first hand knowledge on this.

My g36 mags fit in a dual M4 mag pouch (closed top). So as long as the pouch can fit two M4 mags than it should be able to fit one G36 mag.

I don't know for sure b/c I don't have any of these type of pouches but: www.tacticaltailor.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=66Since the .308 mags are bigger around than m4's it might fit. I know they're usually shorter too but your g36 mags will be an inch or so shorter than the real ones so it could fit. Basically find somebody who has some of these types of pouches and ask. Otherwise you'll prolly have to do like what Mills said and use a double m4 pouch and fold in the flap to make it open top. While you might get one into a single m4 pouch it's not coming out when you need it in battle.

In my experience, If A mag pouch is designed to hold 3 AK mags it will fit A pair of clamped '36 mags perfectly.
The only issue was how the mags sat in the pouch, the lips at the bottom of the mags touched the top of the pouch.
However, with the use of a tactical sweat sock, this was easily overcome if you rolled it up and stuffed it to the bottom of the pouch.

In my experience, If A mag pouch is designed to hold 3 AK mags it will fit A pair of clamped '36 mags perfectly. Make sure it's AK and not m4, a triple m4 pouch will be pretty tight in my experience. Hell, the triple m4 pouches I got thinking they'd work for the g36 will barely hold 3 m4 mags w/ magpuls. (they hold 2 and a speedloader quite comfortably though). If anyone wants to go the double g36 mag route I'd seriously recommend looking for something made specifically for it. I had the stuff from Europe made for the LKS webbing and those double pouches worked perfect. They had a solid yet flexible type of plastic or rubber inside that gave the body shape and so the odds and ends wouldn't snag when being removed.

Thanks for all the info guys. So far I've been using the flap top dual M4 pouches and they work great. I guess that's what I'll stick to. As stated above I just remove the flap top and have them open. Plus this way I can use them for my M4 mags as well as my AK mags w/the flap back on. I guess the old adage holds true: "Work with what you know."

I don't know if this will work or not, but I've read on a couple different sites, that M14 mag pouches work. I know I am using M14 pouches for my G3 mags and they work great. I'm currently using www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2632Again, I've only read that they work, so don't quote me on this, but it might be something to look into.
