We will try to have some BB's for sale but you should bring you own if you can, thanks and sorry. In the future we will have BB's for sale, money is tight and we will have some Bio's for sale but not many. Once again sorry for any inconvenience.
Just as a reminder Check in starts at 9:30 and Briefing starts at 10:30.
Lastly I will not be on until tomorrow night around 7ish so check after that for answers and last minute up dates. Thanks.
Cheers,
Geoff

Gander Mountain along with Super Walmart and Meijer are all right one the way within a mile of each other on the north side of Port Huron. I know Meijers for sure sells .20s, but most of you know not to use those if you have a tightbore.

Can anyone confirm that Mapquest's directions to 6671 Comstock Rd are accurate? When I type in Jeddo as the city Mapquest automatically corrects it to read Grant Township. I used their interactive map to zoom in on the supposed addressed and the end location seems closer to Blaine than Jeddo.
Anyway, just want to make sure if I'm going to drive all the way from GR that the directions I've got are accurate.
Basically, mapquest takes me to Port Huron then Wales center Rd Left onto N. Wales Center Rd Left onto Lapeer Road / MI-21 Right on to Kilgore Right onto Avoca Left onto Fargo Right onto Yale Yale becomes Comstock Road And then final destination: 6671 Comstock Rd.
For the hosts of this game: are these streets familiar and in the area?
Thanks!

If someone has some extra bb's they can bring theyd like to sell (not crappy walmart brands and such) Black Umbrella is currently completely out of BB's and unless we can find some and a loaner gun were not going to be able to make it. As it turns out I was supposed to be getting my gun sent back to me by OpDoc ealier this week but i guess it never happened.
**EDIT**
If anyone has a version 2 tappet plate we could have/buy well wont need a loaner but will still need the BB's. If you have any of the following PLEASE PM me by tomorrow morning around 7.

Conscript, I know your from Taylor, and it's acceptable to use the F word every other work, but do you think it's possible to refrain from the F word as much as you did?

Alright. Since no ones has an extra gun to spare or BB's to sell. Were not coming. We may be coming later on if we find a v2 tappet plate and some BB's.

Having attended a bit of this game I thought I'd post my thoughts. Please take in mind that I was only at the game until six on saturday, did not participate in any of the night games or any of the games on sunday.
First, excellent idea for a "big game" type scenario. Unfortunately, the number of people who showed up (approx 20?) were not enough to fill the field. The playing area was great, but it was hard for someone who had never played their to find out where all the objectives were.
Second, no safety briefing or chronograph? This seems like it should be a given at any large game. No one even inspected our eye-wear to make sure it was to spec. and I saw players wearing what looked like traditional shooting glasses when Michigan airsoft rules (and the rules for the Op. itself) state that only full-seal goggles would be allowed.
Also, goggle discipline seemed to me (and I'm a stickler on safety) extremely lax. People taking off their goggles seemingly whenever they wanted on the playing field. Although at one point we were reminded to lower our goggles as we were entering the combat area.
Third, the game did not start on time. I arrived fairly early and waited for quite some time for the Op. to even begin. When it did begin we had to slog quite a long way, and our leadership (NATO) did not seem to know where the LZ/Drop sites/starting locations were.
Anyway, it was a good first Op. for your group. I would suggest splitting the field into smaller portions, providing better maps and getting players into the action quicker.

We have a large list of improvements all those on your list including others that were behind the curtain. I want to apologize again for the problems that occurred and I guarantee the next Op. we host will be much more professional and will run much smother. Thanks for hanging with us through it.
And to address the goggle thing. As far as the NATO thing was concerned, we droper in about 700 meters from the "in play" area that was why goggles were up. but when we got there I told everyone to drop them.
Cheers,
Geoff

The full seal goggle thing seems to not stick very well at most events in Michigan. Most every event i go to a lot of the people are using shooting glasses.

i must say that having full seal eye wear on for hours and not seeing combat is not exactly comfortable or practical and most checks including myself lacked eyewear, especially in the bunker area, even until seconds before the big fire-fight outside our bunker. i think i set a bad example being a older player for not having them on. but for a younger kid who hasn't seen a reason to put his goggles on yet for more than a hour, you begin to think that we are not actually playing. i do believe the goggles went on when they began their own game in the bunker, but still, if there is a careless sniper out there wanting to take a shot, he very well could have put some one's eye out. i think this op's main problem was a sheer lack of combat due to the massive area that had to be covered by less than 30 people. the next day however was fun once we sized down the playing field and were in combat within 10 minutes. not bad for a first time big op, but there can be improvements.

the only reason i keep my goggles on, even if they do get uncomfortable is snipers. you most likely wont be able to see a sniper that is wearing a ghillie (at least the good airsoft snipers) and they could be watching you through the scope and get really pissed they were off so they couldnt take the shot... that is just what i remind myself when im feeling like taking my goggles off.

We will not be doing a large OP for quite some time, we need to get some things done before we host another.
However, we will be starting up smaller games like the second day for those of you who were there. Something like WMI or ACO these wont be held monthly not yet and we are looking at starting them toward the end of the summer still. But we hope to get good attendance. Once again I would like to apologize for the people who came out and had a bad time. Next time will be much better.
Cheers,
Geoff
