I agree with our airsoft brother from Ohio on this one. As for playing in this spot, it is IMPOSSIBLE, if its school property we cannot play there, it’s to risky! We should all start searching for a new place. If anyone has friends who OWN a few acres or more of land ask them and see if it would be cool to skirmish there. I didn’t get a chance to hit the paintball field today, but I will tomorrow, I don’t wana go to my 2d art class so ill go there instead. IF ALL ELSE FAILS I have a spot behind my house, its plenty big and very very very secluded. But any place would be better then this place.

Well, Hadoken is going to ask for the schools permission, if they okay it then there is all the consent we need!

If this place has any affiliation with a school we should not play there.
I would like to say that I have never played with full camo. I would agree that a person with full camo and accessories holding a assult rifle would be suspicious. But that is NOT how I play.
If we are planning a large organized scenario on public land I agree with talking to the police. But what I wanted to say is that playing a few skirmishes in a forest doesn't require the effort of going to these ends. If we are only playing for an hour or so I would think that minimal prevention can yield all the seclusion that we need.
I think that Locutus's analogy is incorrect. I thought of a better one: If I run a stop sign at a general time and location 20 times without getting a ticket, the possibility that I will get a ticket the 21st time is low. I NEVER said that there is no chance of getting caught, I just said that the chance is so low that it is neglegable.

Ed, the problem with your analogy is the worst thing that happens is a ticket, when in actuality the worst thing that can happen is death, therefor the chance, however small, is never negligible.

Just ask for permission. Besides, if the cops say yes then it'll make it better for us to get skirmishes in the future with their consent if we dont cause any problems for now.

Sorry about the lack of updates lately concering our little event here, I've been busy searching for other possible playing locations, though it hasn't been working out. I've contacted the schools here in Romeo and I'm waiting for their reply. Hopefully they'll agree to my request and give us permission to use the small stretch of woods you've seen in the pictures previously posted. In the end it'll really be up to them, I believe there are no sporting events scheduled for that day so I seriously doubt we would be running into any people in the area. As a precaution though I will inform homes neighboring the small stretch of woods about our event and I will also inform the local Police. Its better to be on their goodside, who knows..if they let us use the space now we might be allowed to use it again in the future. So just cross your fingers! Just to be on the safe side I still urge you all to look for other locations in case this does not go through.

Sorry for not clearing things up, It was only yesterday I think when I found out the little stretch of woods we would like to play on was owned by the School.
I had no idea, the school isn't even close to the whole soccer/track field so I thought it was just city property. *me shrugs*
The place is empty pretty much all day anyway, and even more so on Sundays, so I doubt we would get people walking around the area.

Actually, that's my other friend, Marty. I'm almost 100% sure his dad would never let people over his son's age play on his land. He is a former <deleted for security reasons, not kidding> and owns a lot of illegal firearms. I'm scared every time I go to his house and property, so I'm really really nice and polite whenever I go there. So no way we're playing at his house

Goat, if you would read before making stupid observations you would clearly see that they're trying to do as much as they can to make this legit. Notifying the police, school officials, and civilians in the area are things which they will be doing.
