I will give an open challenge to anyone who comes: $5 if you can beat me a "Neighborhood rules." You can find out more about this in my thread: "Springer Games?"
I can give a better description of the rules if you want me to.
I am really looking forward to this.

Ello Ello, I'm back. Earlier today I went out in the rain to take some pictures of the playing area where we MIGHT be able to play. *me crosses fingers* The place isnt too big, but the pictures from inside the woods make it look smaller than it really is. here goes: *Out of the woods, notice general length? not too bad eh? *Left area looking towards center. Theres more behind me here, but I ran out of space on the camera :-P *left and right areas meet in a more open center clearing, side elevated. *right area looking towards the center. More behind me of course. Not too bad I think, especially for the amount of people attending. Its just not certain if we'd be able to play here though.

I have to admit that is a good spot. If you could, I would be interested in playing in those woods.

You like?
*phew*
I have to admit, I was mostly worried what you would think about it Ed. I know you've played more than the rest of us here so I thought you would be expecting a whole lot more too.
I'll keep you all updated.

As long as the games are interesting, it can be fun. In fact, small fields can be really fun if you manipulate them.
For example: instead of playing them long ways, try playing them short ways. By the start of the game, people will be in firing range and flanking will be promoted. (you see- that sounds like fun already).
I'll also bring a few smoke grenades to shake things up a little

The thing is.. it's town property, and you would have to get their permission. And the town is run by stodgy old historical society members.

Yea, one thing I told Kadoken he needs to do after confirming its okay with his girlfriend's parents is to go around to the surrounding neighbors and let them know what will be going on, and to invite them to tag along if they wished.
Tomorrow morning I am going to be going to the local paint ball field and see how much it would cost to rent it out for the later part of the day (noon-8).

Arrgh! Well I doubt I'd need the towns permission to play there. Its not like we're having some huge sponsored event with 100's of people coming. *me wishes* If paintballers can play there and never get into any trouble at all I don't see why we couldn't do the same. Of course I would go a step above them and let the neighbors know of our skirmish so they don't freak out. I think it would be perfect!

If paintballers play there, and it is public land, I don't understand why you would need your girlfriend's parents permission. Did I miss something?

Wait wait wait!
Don't tell anybody what we are doing here. Not any neighbors, city council, or even Hadoken's parents. The chances that someone will come across us while playing are slim to none. (I know this for a fact)
"It's easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission"
Also: Hadoken, if you have any insecurities about this field, I can always scout a different one out. I wouldn't want to pressure you into playing in a place that you wouldn't be comfortable in.

Well I do feel comfortable playing there. Its great! I'd play there every day if Ballista was up to it. And I don't really think I need to ask permission either, its all my wifes evil scheme to try and spoil our little event!
She just thinks her parents would freak out about us playing down there and shes probably worried about us using the bathrooms or something like that..aaah I dont even know.
I think it would be the best place for now, Its pretty much perfect...and best of all FREE!
I'll talk some sense into her tonight 8)
Ed, just be on the look out for something else, maybe you might spot something better.

Ed, shame on you. Don’t tell anyone? Come on, lets go play on public land basically in peoples back yards with what looks like real guns… you know there’s a bit of responsibility that goes into playing airsoft don’t you? Hadoken, warn your neighbors, the last thing we need is for the police to show up and confiscate our guns, and for us “non-minors” spend the night in jail.

As an Airsoft Organization, it is important the you represent Airsoft in a mature and responsible way. After all, you speak for an entire state. And you certainly want to maintain a level of credability in the Airsoft community.
You should NEVER play on land that you do not have permission to use, regardless if it is public or private. All it takes is one passerby to see a bunch of guys in the woods with automatic guns and call the authorities, and all of a sudden you have a very bad situation on your hands that could result in charges, arrests, or even deaths. Especially in light of recent events.
Please, I *IMPLORE* you, play airsoft responsibly, and think of the ramifications your actions can have on yourself, your fellow MiA members, and all airsofters in the US. Thanks.

There we go, see thats the kind of response I expect from the airsoft don of Ohio. You're right Locutus. Guess I was blinded by the joys of skirmishing again to know better. I have seen the light and I'll try go about it the proper way. Thankye good sir.
