if i can find a spot to get some sanyo cells in a bulk order, i'd be happy to make some custom batteries for the guys and gals here at MiA.... keep an eye out... if you see someplace...i'll make an order...make some batts...and make them at cost.
how's that?

I'd be interested. I need me a custom SD6 battery: 9.6V-1500mah. Airsoft toys sells them for $50, so if yours would be cheaper than that I'm sold. better be purdy too!

I have nothing else to say...right now i'm just speculating....gotta actually find a cheap supplier... if i can get them cheaper than it'll cost for a comparable retail battery...i'll make them... but...well...if you can get retail batteries cheaper than it costs me to make...well... :\

Yeah, I've got an 11 cell in my M16. The performance is awsome.

C Cells: (the types used in large batt's) 9.6v 3500mah - 8 cells - about $65-$70 apiece 8.4v 3500mah - 7 cells - about $60-$65 apiece 9.6v 3900mah - 8 cells - about $70-$75 apiece 8.4v 3900mah - 7 cells - about $65-$70 apiece 9.6v 2200mah - 8 cells - about $47-$52 apiece 8.4v 2200mah - 7 cells - about $45-$50 apiece
AA Cells: (i think these are the ones in small batt's) 9.6v 1700mah - 8 cells - about $35-$40 apiece 8.4v 1700mah - 7 cells - about $35-$40 apiece 9.6v 1800mah - 8 cells - about $37-$42 apiece 8.4v 1800mah - 7 cells - about $37-$42 apiece 9.6v 1600mah - 8 cells - about $25-$30 apiece 8.4v 1600mah - 7 cells - about $25-$30 apiece edit:
a bit pricey....but these are industrial rechargeable batteries...supposed to hold their capacity for up to 2000 charges....they say they're 'memory free' but...well....safe than sorry, right?
C cells swap with a standard AEG battery pretty easily.
if you guys are interested in pricing or anything...or have any questions to ask me...drop me a line at adhartok@ameritech.net

i'm looking for places to buy the heat shrinkable outer covering that covers the batteries....if i can't find it, then the Batt's will probly just come wrapped in electrical tape...with a metal bar or two to provide rigidity.

You can buy it at Hobby Shops. It should be really cheap, I worked at a Riders Hobby Shop and I know how to make my own batteries. You can find cells and shrink wrap here: www.towerhobbies.com/

good..i found a place that supplies heat shrinkable tubing in 100 foot or 4 foot sections...
nice and cheap...all the better... 1 1/2 diameter....just the right size for a C cell...i'll get some 3/4 inch for any mini's anyone wants me to make. i should be able to get 4-5 complete AEG batteries out of each segment of HS tubing...
before i order any batts from the wholesaler, i'll need to know how many batteries i need to order...i'll be selling them for as little as possible... i'll be making a couple for myself, as well....

i threw together a website...you can reach it at www.angelfire.com/games4/bigmackit's very rough right now...i threw it together in 20 minutes. the prices are about as low as i can charge...i will be able to do other types of batts...10.8v, and 12v inclusive. if you give me enough of a go-ahead, i'll even come over to your house (within reason...not gonna travel too far...better be prepared to treat me to dinner, tho.. )...or you can meet at my place. ahh well...i'll do what i can, mi amigos.

Those are expensive prices for batteries. Are they Nickel-Metal hydride?

the high capacity ones have to be NiMH... Which as far as I know no one has done much testing of NiMH batteries in AEGs, could be risky? www.batterystore.com has great prices on custom batteries.
