Well the time has come. I've now officially been bitten by the gear bug. Until now, my old woodland camo and OD crossdraw got the job done just fine. But as often the case, I find myself longing for more. This time, gear is the main focus.
I'm looking to go with a new BDU set (either Marpat desert, ACU, or multicam). All the other components (vest, holster, gloves, boots, etc.) will be coyote brown or desert tan. I do need some advice on certain things. Any input would be appreciated.
Please keep in mind that I'm going 110% cost effective here. I'm looking to spend around 100-150 on the entire load out, so replica and "knock-offs" are just fine by me.
All prices INCLUDE shipping.

A little input/background for the vest, pc, rig selection. Since I only have experience with my crossdraw vest, I need help in this area most. Here's my criteria:
Must be easily maneuverable. I'm used the crossdraw that keeps everything in close to my body. This allows me to prone, crawl, roll, etc. without causing any restrictions. This is a definite must for me as my play style dictates something that is secure and fairly tight fitting. Cumbersome stuff is out.
Also must accommodate my different weapons/magazines. Currently my primary is an M4, but I switch to my other weapons often. These include a G36c and an AKS74U. Because of this, if the vest can hold various type of magazines right from the start, that would be a HUGE plus.
Based on the above criteria, I've selected the following as possible candidates.
Chest Rig: Tactical Magazine Chest Rig Coyote Brown - $29

Plate Carrier: USMC SF MOLLE PC Coyote Brown - $55

Vest: Milspex MOLLE Assault Vest Coyote Brown - $50

I really like the PC the best so far. I just need input as to which one of these options gives me the most maneuverability and flexibility when it comes to holding my various magazines. I also like the chest rig for 2 reasons: it's cheap and it holds both AK and M4 rounds. However, I like how the PC holds everything in tighter and I think the extra money is worth the more secure fit and better overall look.
Lastly, I know I need BDU's and I will also be getting a helmet cover for the PASGT helmet to match. Right now I'm leaning towards multicam. However, the cost is pretty high. In order to keep the overall cost down, I may have to go with an alternative. If so, what are the other popular camo patters right now? I'm leaning towards marpat desert at the moment.
Also, almost forgot. Is coyote brown a good color to pair with multicam? What about coyote brown and desert marpat? Seems to me it should go well with both, but gain, opinions are needed as I'm a total novice when it comes to gear.
As a reference, I can get the entire BDU set for $40 shipped from EHobbyAsia and the helmet cover for $6 shipped.
Grand Total: $190
Need help finding this stuff cheaper if I can. I think I can definitely save money on the boots for one.
