I'm trying to figure out why this event doesn't have the response of others...

Probably because it's more than a month away, or the 40 dollars thing..

Probably because it's more than a month away, or the 40 dollars thing.. I think its the cost, not that it's a month away. I think $40 is a bit steep, especially when Starlight was half the price for just as much possible game time.

starlite was 12 hours, plus ended early. this is over 24 hours, plus shorter breaks.
also, i have to pay for use of the field, plus more meals, plus other things...
also, if you prepay, it is only 35, only 10 dollars more than starlite... and i also have been thinking about just making the late price 35 as well, since no one is pre registering anyways (but as of right now, the prices will stay as they are on the first page).
and if we are comparing prices, Op: Safari Strike is $50 for only 1 day... so i think $35 is pretty fair

I dont think the price is too bad. It could be worse. Anyway, put me down on the US side plus four others. One of them is a medic. For those of you who remember "Mini Medic" from Starlite!!
EDIT: Several of them are soon to get accounts here on MiA. Ill post again when they do, but my guys from Op Starlite: Phil- a sniper on 2nd Hotel will be joining and Jon- the Mini Medic will also under that screen name. Peace.

I don't know if anyone is interested. but me and my comrades are creating a "helmet Cam" and will be recording a first-person view of the action. i understand the risk of damage to the camera. but it only costs me like 90$. This will be the first time i have been home from japan since last year august, so i want to get as much footage as possible. The downside is the camera can only record about 30 mins of footage at a time. At that point i will have to unload the footage onto my laptop. then after the op. We will get all of the footage and edit it and then burn it to DVD. So far my idea is to strap this tiny camera to a "Tank commander Helmet" which is ridiculously huge, but the camera is relatively small and we will most likely use duct tape and leather to bind it to the helmet. and we will need to make a sort of pocket for the camera.and a hole for the lens. We will first wrap the camera in saran wrap. Then we will make a leather or other hard fabric pocket and put the camera in it. Then we will duct tape the pocket to the helmet just above eye-level. Then once we start getting into action we will hit record. Viola! Instant in your face footage. I will rotate the camera between players in my group so that the footage differs. If you see someone with a gigantic helmet please do not shoot them in the head if you can help it. I understand that no one is liable for the camera should it break. That being said all I ask is please do not shoot for the head on purpose. I appreciate your consideration. If you have any ideas to help me with the construction of the head-cam please let me know.
