Background:
An U.S. Embassy has been under heavy attack as of late. The group forming the attacks calls themselves “The Clan.” During one of the attacks, they took 3 marines hostage and they have been sending video tapes of the prisoners to U.S. leaders, showing that they are fearless and that they are well equipped with guns and they also stated that they have warhead missiles aimed at the Embassy. They say that they will fire if their demands are not met. Using satellite technology, The U.S. Government was able to locate the village where “The Clan” of rebels have set up their base of operations and was forced to send in Marine reinforcements.
The U.S. Marines have set up base in a small village separating “The Clan” from the Embassy. There is also a larger neutral city that separates both the Marines and “The Clans” base of operations.
The Marines have orders to claim/keep control of the neutral city so that they can better hold off “The Clan” from advancing. The Marines also have orders to get back their captured brothers alive, using any means necessary.
“The Clan” have orders to claim/keep control of the neutral city so that they can better hold off the advancement of The U.S. They also have orders to keep the captured Marines protected and out of U.S. hands.
Depending on whether or not The Marines are rescued will determine the objectives of the next scenario.
Other Notes: Examples of other scenarios are as follows: setting up perimeters, gaining/keeping control of important structures, regrouping with scattered teammates, destroying enemy structures/strong-points/hotspots. There is one mission that I have planned where each commander is given a map with certain hotspots circled in different colors (designating their level of importance) that are structures that need to be “destroyed”, but there will also be hotspots that they need to defend as well. There are more scenarios, these are just some examples.
There are also other structures (villages) that can be over taken to help give support.
One of the objectives of each scenario is to keep control of the central (larger) city. After each scenario, the team that held the village at the end will have control at the start of the next scenario, and will have the option of starting the scenario at that base instead of their other base.
Just in case there is confusion, The Embassy is not an actual structure on the field, it is said to be in a village farther behind the village that The Marines have occupied.
