I was checking out some European airsoft team sites yesterday and I came upon this one Czech team called the "4th Infantry Division". Their page isn't really anything too special but once I saw their pics I just had to share it with the rest of you. click here for photosIt's not very often you see a team based on a specific time period, most if not all teams here in the US try to go with all the modern gear they can get thier hands on. Guess it's why this one really stood out. Favorite pic has to be the one of them crossing through the wheat field or whatever grain that is. One of these days I'll show up at a game dressed in German WW2 gear and kick some yankee ass!

That has to be the coolest...and I mean *the* coolest...Airsoft pictures site. No SWAT team or modern Army getup is as cool as their Vietnam stuff...wow. /me wants M16 now...drools...Chewy!
Edit-I was just scanning the text to see if I could pick up some Czech, and low-and-behold, the last picture has "Kontakt !!!!!". A funny one has to be the one above it, with something something-Hollywood! ;D

I’d love to be part of a team that is based on a specific team period. But in airsoft all we have to choose from really is Modern, Vietnam and minimal WW2. Then again you don’t want to go much further back or we would be wearing red and white uniforms and carrying muskets on our shoulders.
I think it would really be cool to have a WW2 based team. But there isn’t much out for it. But hell I would still love to go to a game with a Thompson or a Marushin M1 Carbine, a 1911 and WW2 gear. That would be so… cool. Some day after I get my current skirmishing gear/weapons up to par I just might invest in a skirmishing set based around WW2. And form a team that enjoys historical battle simulations.
Gah, CA M24 of Marushin M1 Carbine … CA M24 or Marushin M1 Carbine The Decisions!

Great pics!! So if you were squirted by water (rather than BB's) by the guy in the swamp would that be considered a hit. Man I cringed when I saw the water pics - those guys are waaaaay into their scenarios.
NOTE TO ALL - JackStraw does not do "amphibian assaults" or play in deep puddles unless I'm in a kayak/canoe/boat/snorkeling gear. If necessary, you might as well shoot me for dereliction (msp?) of duty and send me packin' cuz I'm not going in. I like the hobby, but not that much.

They are most likely gas guns. Back when gas was “main stream” they could actually be submerged in water and then fired. Or at least that’s what some people at ASZ state. I wont argue sense some of them have been in airsoft 10+ years.

Man they got great places to play. In one of those pictures you can even see the Dragons Teeth. How awesome would it be to play there.
If you dont know, Deagons Teeth were an antitank defense used extensively in the german defenses near germany. they are the pyramidal concrete shapes in the picture with the tank.
The m16 is good looking in those pics, but the one ive seen doesnt look so good up close. I think the M16s kinda look... plasticky. I love the uniforms though.

Aye. I do agree the M16's body (M16A1 M16A2 XM M4 etc) does at first look plastic like. But after a while it grows on you. I can’t get over how sexy my M4 is today. She’s finally put back together completely after many months of only being partially together and a few days of fighting with the damn PDI chamber block and lots of cutting. Now she’s back together, beautiful. Right before I looked in the thread I was at various airsoft sites picking out my Metal body I might purchase Friday, or in two weeks. I will miss the light gray body, but ill more then welcome a metal body.
I mean look at my m4a1 snow pic. She doest look plastic like does she?
Personally I think the coolest place to play airsoft in the entire world would be at *forget the name.* It was a huge complete of underground tunnels and anti tank/infantry post in a wall like formation built on the North Eastern boarder of France to repel the Germans. Why it was a good idea all they simply had to do was go around it. Silly Frenchmen didn’t complete around the entire boarder, and even then it’s nothing artillery and bombers wouldn’t take care of. I’m sure I could find the name of it but I’m too lazy.
But just playing inside it would be so cool. It would be like that huge dam map that came with Rouge Spear.

Eh, this isn't at all European, but these pics are cool anyhow: www3.shooting.org.hk/images/war020106/page_01.htmThere's 6 pages of some hardcore airsofters there. These guys really go all out with their gear; on the last page there's a whole squad of guys in Australian camo, all with AUGS! Mmmmmmmmm

Cool pics Minky, I've never seen those before. Aaah, if only I had the money to buy gear like that. Even the Australian camo looks good. I totally hated it when I lived there, bt now I guess it has kinda grown on me. Maybe I can get my brother to send me some.
hmmmm.
now there's a plan!
