One more note in defense of CD. On their news section (very large, top of the home page, first thing that should catch your eye) Blade said that his server crashed on the 28th (the first day you sent your last string of emails), so it's likely that he never received them, or that he has so much shit to get through getting his server back up so he can process his orders that he simply didn't have the time to respond to your emails. Anyway you slice it, there are only 24 hours in a day. It's very likely that he just has more important customer service issues to deal with because of the crash.
I have to say, you shouldn't really be looking to turn a profit or even break even when you're selling used goods. Think about a car. Unless it's a classic, as soon as you take it off the lot it's value will decrease to about 2/3 of what it was 30 seconds earlier. It's similar with airsoft. You should never be able to break even selling a used gun, box or not, and to expect to do so is pretty unreasonable.
I agree. I always buy my airsoft goods from over seas (bbs and gas excluded of course). It's more ecconomical most of the time.
I'm sure that blade knows exactly what he's selling, and that he does check his guns before he sends them out. I would bet that he specifically orders the ornage plastic barrels with his guns. If not, he probably welcomes them anyway.
You are right that he should list on his site that they only come with the metal slide. It looks like he did it with most of the other KJW metal guns (look at the G27or the Elite IA listed at the top). Hmmm, maybe it's all he had in stock and he didn't want to make you wait? I don't know why it would be other than what he has listed, because he clearly makes a distinction between "metal slide" and "metal version." If all he's selling is metal slide G23's, then yeah, he should definitely have it listed as such. Maybe this shipment was a fluke? I don't know. I'd definitely be upset if I got something that was different than what it was advertised as.
However what happened to me before which was over a simple thing as a box. Have you ever tried selling something without the original box? I mean really tried and broke even or even made a penny profit.

So what does this mean for the US consumers? Buy directly from Japan, Hong Kong, or whomever and wait the extra three days for customs to clear it.

I would suggest for Combat Depot then to make changes in order to avoid these misunderstandings. On is if it came to him that way from his supplier, then it should have been inspected first before placing on the shelf. The listing of such product also should state whether or not a metal slide and metal barrel are included or not included in item. Simply enough inform the consumer.
