I have never heard anything but good about 21st....until I read this...can anyone confirm or dissipate this rumor?
THIS IS ALL POSTED FOR A KID IN VERMONT FROM ASF WHO LOST HIS M14!
"This is a bit long but I ask that you PLEASE read it.
I had done business with 21st Century Airsoft for about 6mo. and spent about $2k+ worth on various items & services.
I had met the owner, Bill, twice in person. He came off to me as someone who had major insecurity issues but tried to cover them up by acting, and talking, like he was some tough guy. Anyway, that was just my first impression.
We had a decent business relationship. Here's where it went South. I'll give you the abbreviated version since most of you probobly don't have the time or want to read everything.
On July 15th, 2005. I sent them, 21st Century Airsoft, 2 items, a new G&G M14 I had literally just purchased, to be upgraded, and my brothers CA M24, to be repaired. Before I sent them I called and spoke with James, the manager, to see if they would be able to have them done by August 05, 2005; as I needed them for an OP. I was told it wouldn't be a problem so I sent them out, July 17th, 05.
August 5th comes and goes and I haven't heard anything so I call them up. I find out the James, the manager and upgrade tech, has quit and my M14 is laying in pieces, and my brothers M24 hasn't been touched. I was ######, but hey, stuff like that happens. 2mo. go by, haven't heard anything, so, again I call and speak with Bill, the owner. He tells me they had to order parts for my brother M24 and a diagram from G&G so they can put it back together, whatever. November now, I'm irritated but still alright, I even bought a new CA S.P.C. from them, and had a new gear box put in my Tac. Carbine from them, amongst all the drama. Early December my brother finally gets back his M24, 5 months later, and they want me to pay, I refused under the ridiculous circumstances.
Now, January of 06', I'm fed up, (Note: I am the only one doing the calling to try and follow up on my M14, never once did they call me, unless I did first). I've tried to rectify the situation with Bill by asking him to send me the amount which I paid, or credit it toward a CA SAW and I would pay the difference, however, he refused.
Mid January, I call, once again, Bill, he says, and I quote, "what the censored2.gif is so important that you need to pull me out of a meeting with 2 officers". Shocked, I fire back, and for the first time in this whole feeasco lose my patience. We go back and forth, he tells me no one has the pieces that he needs to upgrade the M14, and what do I want him to do, pull them out of the air.
I tell him I had just gotten off the phone with AEX and they have everything needed for the M14.
Begrudging and sarcastic, he asks, "well, would it make you happy if I sent it to them", and I said yes.
I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at this point.
February 06', I call every AEX store in Cali to try and locate my M14; none have it. Very irritated I call 21st Century. It is now that I find out Bill has shipped my M14 back to G&G, in Hong Kong.
When I call him out on it he says, "I thought that is what you would want me to do".
So here's the deal, I've gone through the Better Business Bureau, and they marked them as unsatisfactory, nothing was accomplished, so then I filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General.
It is now May 11, 2006, I sent my G&G M14 in almost 10 months ago to the day.
I contacted Bill, the Owner of 21st Century, 2 days ago and asked about the status of my M14. He told me it was at their shop, I requested it back and he refused. His reason was because I've taken this to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and the Attorney General, he would not do anything unless one of those organizations demanded it to be done. However, I was made aware, after contacting the Michigan Attorney General, that they don't make such demands. Which means, if I want my M14 I'd have to hire an attorney. Which means I'm pretty much SOL.
My request to you all; all my fello airsofters, is: please TELL OTHERS, copy and paste it on other forums. I know most of us have been screwed over before by others, but this is just ATROCIOUS & EN-EXCUSABLE, on every level of business ethics & practices. That's $500+ I may never see again."
