Hi, I'm looking to see who else is within the Kalamazoo or surrounding area's.
I'm 28 years of age and I've owned AEG and GBB guns for about 10 years now. I kind of lost track of airsoft for a couple years due to life but I'm kinda looking to get back into now that some of my other local have finally bought AEG's.
Any decent teams in the area looking for new members?

As ICE said, we're a bit all over the state - but there are a lot in Grand Rapids and I myself am just down the road from you in the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area. If you don't have anything going on this Saturday I'd suggest heading out to the ACO game (www.acoclub.com). You can find details in the events section. There is usually a pretty spread representation of various teams at those events and it's a good way to be introduced to Airsoft in Michigan and the MIA community as well. Dutch puts on some very fun filled events. Well worth the drive up to GR.

We have a team based in Kalamazoo. It just so happens that we are the team that SFOD-D JA was talking about. We have our own board here on MIA. We're team A.M.A.S. (allied michigan airsoft squad). We play about every other week or so. We have 3 fields to play on. 2 of them are woodland and meadow. 1 of the woodland fields is about 60 acres. The other woodland is about 9 acres. The 3rd field we have is a gravel pit that has a lot of things to hide in. There are 2 freight train cars there and we have no idea how they got there. There is also a lot of cinder blocks, concrete structures, and concrete cylinders to hide behind. There is also woodland area around the perimeter of the pit. The pit itself is HUGE. We have no idea how large it is acre wise. Most of our members (we have 13) live in kalamazoo. I live basically right on WMU's campus. If you want more info on us then please visit our website www.armoryairsoft.com and scroll down until you see AMAS and click on it. We have our roster and our weapons on that page. If you want more in depth information then please contact either myself, CantoXII, or CaveMan here on MIA by PM or email.

Greetings guys, I'm new to Kalamazoo but not to airsoft. I recently moved here from Tucson Arizona, I've been involved in Airsoft for a little over a year. I was a member of a Tucson Airsoft team called SWAIRTAC (www.swairtac.com). I was at LC4 (Lions Claw 4) which was a blast. Anyways, I'm always looking for a airsoft game and would like to get involved in the Michigan airsofting community. Email me if you know of a game and are looking for somebody to go with. If you want to see some of the airsoft games I've attended and organized over the last year, here's a link. photobucket.com/albums/v682/snap_swairtac/

Welcome to Michigan! If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes it'll change. Some very nice looking terrain you had there in Arizona. Looks like a very fun place to play some Airsoft.

It was fun, but you could only airsoft for the first two hours in the morning during the summer. At 9am it was already 100F, motors would burn up, gas guns would start shooting too hot, so we had the large games during the winter, not much cover to hid behind other than cactus. Once I get all my gear out (still unpacking) I'll be back out on the field.

Yo snap, where exactly do you live in K-Zoo? You can PM me so that way everybody doesnt know for security reasons. My team is based in Kzoo. We play every 2 weeks. Our games last about 5 hours.
Here are some questions im curious about:
Where exactly do you live? How old are you? What kind of airsoft guns do you have? If you joined our team, would you have transportation or not? How long have you been playing airsoft? Would you mind being on a team that has 16 members already? (i know some people who dont like big teams) What school do you go to? If you are still in school.
If you have AIM then add lordgilbon to your buddy list and we'll chat. I can also get our other team leader in a room and we could all talk.
Our team forum is A.M.A.S. Pm me for the password.
Nice to see more people in Kzoo are playing airsoft.

Are the majority of your games in the woods, or do you have a couple of locations that have structures, etc. ?

Are the majority of your games in the woods, or do you have a couple of locations that have structures, etc. ? A lot of it is woodland. But michigan has a pretty wide variety of landscape. Down by us there is a lot of sand/dunes etc. I know that in past years there have been some CQB facilities setup so I would expect that to continue. Probably someone else is better qualified to answer that than me - in my short time playing almost everything has been outdoor/woodland settings. I will say, the last ACO game playing in the snow was by far the most fun I've had this year. I'm looking forward to OP: W.A.R.M.
