If you want one just for the body, go with the Dboys. It's an all around better construction, but the finish is outstanding and very realistic.

My brother has the Kalash (Dboys) AK74u. All around solid and looks great. It's also got real wood grips.
Edit- the Kalsh also has a realistic looking bolt and cover. It's not greyed or silver like the E1 or JG stuff.

Took these pictures in a hurry, so suck my balls. I'll take new ones in natural lighting when I get a chance. I'm going to re-stain the wood and beat the hell out of it also.

Connors Jump is right the D-boy is very realistic and metal too. Im not much of an AK fan but the new ones are pretty sweet, and very well priced.

Holy shit Jump, is it just me or does that RPK have an extra long Magazine?

Yes, it's a 45 round mag in real life, holds like 1000 rounds in airsoft. Still just a hi-cap though. RPK74s (5.45) never used drum mags. The current issue RPKs have folding stocks, and look like this: If I could source the stock, believe me I would built it. I can find the front furniture, just not the right damn stock! For now I'll stick with the 80's issue. And before anybody points it out, Im going to add the reciever swells and shorten the barrel an inch. And if you are wondering why you can see the GB, it's because it's an ICS and you can pull the bolt all the way back.

I weathered my Mags. The bakelite on all the G&Ps were entirely too bright, which has lead me to being shot in the face (thanks Maj.). Some black spray paint, some dremel work, and a bit of red wash has left me with a much more realistic and worn look. The 45 round mag had a better finish from the start, but was way to glossy. More sand work, some black paint and more sanding and it surprised the crap out of me. I recommend to anybody using orange bakelite magazines (airsoft or course) to try this, it's not terrible difficult. The best results come from an auto finishing brick (think foam brick made of fine sandpaper) and a dremel using the purple finishing disk.

They look excellent, I'll have to give it a try later today. By the way where did you get 45 round mags?

Redwolf has them, made by GWS (custom shop out of HK). There are also MAG midcaps that have just been released in the 45 round style.

Finished the mag on my PSL, the hi-cap was too much trouble so I'm using a TM shotgun shell for the innerds. Looks like i'm carrying a speed loader Don't ever do this mod, hacking up a metal body and a steel magazine is not fun. At all.

Not yet, I did the picture like that on purpose because I'm waiting on a new barrel. I had to sacrifice the old for my RPK project Next week I'll put some up, I may declare the damn thing done for good as the wood dreams seem to be out of my reach.
