Got this for another project you'll be seeing soon, but it's not done so I stuck it on my ak to get a feel for it. Been a few years since i've eyed a POSP, takes a little bit to get used to how the eastern bloc does things. It's illuminated, but only in the way it should be. Very, very dim. It is barely visible when looking out the window at night, but would work very well in a night game. One of the things that takes some getting used to, you can see how POSP scopes are canted to the side and not directly over the reciever. It's pretty nice especially in airsoft, it allows much easier use of the Iron sites rather than having them viewable through a 1"x1" space. It's 4x, which is about all I would want with 6mm plastic. Being RS, of course it's very well made and I'm not too concerned with breaking it. Those of you that have Aks should dig around the net and try to dig up a used surplus POSP, they usually run under a hundred bucks. That's half of a G&P Acog and it does twice as much *EDIT* Yes it has the black eye cup standard of all POSP scopes, I just cant stand it and it gets in the way of the iron sites. Of course it gets the

Those optics are very eastern bloc, you get a +1 for originality!

Ahh, it looks great comrade! Surely the foolish imperialists with their ACOGs cringe at the sight of such a great work of mother Russia! Ok, leaving RA speach It looks really good, all I need is a side mount and a scope of my own... Right after that AKS-74U and AKS-74 and AKM...

Looks like a Dragonov in progress. Now I want to see the final product.

Not a dragunov, a PSL. In the real world the operating system is very different, the PSL is more simliar to the regular AK than a dragunov. That's the reason I wanted to build one, It wouldn't take much work to the reciever to make it look right. Here is the PSL/FPK/Romak 3 Notice the reciever isn't much different from an AK74 style, along with the mag placement. Also notice the front end, how the gas tube is longer along with the lower grip compared to the upper. Here is the dragunov, Notice how much different everything is compared to an AK or the PSL. You cannot really make a true dragunov from any AEG, you have to buy the expensive spring/gas guns. This is a Civilian modified PSL, pretty much what I'm going for

Looking pretty sharp. The only thing I dont like about these rifles are the optics. They usually use the old German/Russian standard WW2 4x Magnification. Now I know the optics are better but the bell on them is so small hardly any light is going to get in there. Just from my $0.02. Still, shes looking good. Keep up the good work.

Sorry it took so long to update the picture. I replaced the body with the King Arms body from my other AK which I may still edit to give the real PSL look, but I doubt it. The mag I'm converting is in the picture, it's a bitch. I have to either Stagger the real magazine so it will fit in the magwell but have a sectioned removed so it will clear the body, or chop a big chunk out of the body itself. Not sure if the staggered mag will look decent, but I still want to use regular AK mags if I have to.

Piston, head, cylinder, nozzle, bushings, metal hop chamber, M14 barrel until I get a PSG1 tightbore, and some random monster spring in my toolbox. This was a budget project, most of the stuff installed was Element or SRC. It's smooth though, the element stuff is actually pretty damn nice. I haven't played with it yet since I havent bought a battery that will fit the gun and pull the spring, but it will punch through the bottom of a pop can and crack the top.

New toy yesterday, Dboys AKS74U Fake wood is decent, real AKSU wood eventually You can see the battery through the handguard but no worries about storing anything up to a 12v. Reciever cover is also pinned like it should be, flips up but does not come off. Also releases handguard like the real thing. The other forums say this thing shoots around 400fps, if that's true a downgrade has to happen. Shooting it empty in my place it sounds good though, the AKSU flash makes a nice popping sound.

Let me know how you like it. I planned on ordering the CA version but for the price this is making me lean towards it.

Its sexy, but either paint that magazine or get new ones. It seriously, looks like a Halloween decoration. Nah I like orange bakelite, but I have two black hi-caps if I choose to use them. It's still a better orange than the 3 G&P midcaps I have which are stupid bright. I wish somebody would make some plum mags, those are sex. Dboys did an oops with their mags though, unless you shave a bit off of the magazine catch or the mags themselves, other brands won't fit. It's a fairly easy mod, but I imagine the Dboys mag will be a little wobbly once its modified for others. There are three AKSUs out there right now. Dboys, Cyma, and Unicorn. Ignore Unicorn, the Dboys is the most realistic, and the Cyma is a Cyma. For playability I would probably go with the last.

I like bakelite magazines too, but that one looked extremely off to me.
