I didn't plan on getting it any time soon but I couldn't miss that deal. Well, actually, I sold some books and got some extra cash and decided to celebrate.

Yeah, they're great but I need a helmet for them. I only got to try them on with a helmet for the first time yesterday but they are ten times more comfortable that way. They also don't fit well at all with my balaclava.
edit* Hey, are you going to paint yours? I was thinking of painting them a dark green or black color.

Ouch, well in German I made a negative comment about your trigger discipline, Cpl.
But in English, I like the Flecktarn

Yeah, I know and I already took flack for it before. Just so you know, there was no battery inside the gun, the mag was empty, the safety was on, and there was nobody even close to the direction I was pointing my gun so safety redundancy was still there.

edit* Hey, are you going to paint yours? I was thinking of painting them a dark green or black color. oh yeah, the light tan has to go. im going to go with a basic flat black or possibly a darker "gun metal grey". im most likely going to go with black though. but im almost afraid to paint them. what would i use? just hose it down with Krylon?

That's the exact problem I was in. Hey, do you think a black permanent marker would work ok?

No, it will rub off eventually. I tried covering orange like that once. It rubbed off.

well id do more than one coat of krylon the FlakJak goggles are kind of rubbery so im thinking that spray paint would stick to it a little bit better than it would a smooth surface like plastic. the only problem i see with a permanent marker would be the fact that it will turn somewhat purple in a way in some lighting.
