Working now. Nice looking gun, but I think the body needs some work yet, mainly in darkening it and removing the strokes from whatever you applied it with. Looks like rag or something?

I agree with making it darker/discolored part. BUT leave sum strokes. Gives it that battle-torn look.
Keep doing what your doing man. Nice shit.

Yeah I know what you guys are saying, the damn camera made the whole thing shine. It is darker in person, with the edges and high areas being worn. It really does look like old steel, it's pretty cool. And I know what you are saying about the stock, I'm glad you said something because I forgot that was on my list of things to fix. Little bit of dremel and possible bondo should fix that right up

nice work! the gun looks great, definately gives that hardcore usage look. i do agree with some of the other guys in saying that the gun looks a little lighter than it should, but the camera im sure didnt do the gun any justice. regardless, very nice looking gun. thats what a Dremel (sp?) tool is for just clip off those little tabs and sand it back down.

I did a little more work to it this morning, the tough thing with the stain is it's very finiky. You can pile it on and it won't stick, then you hit another spot and it sticks more than you want it to I have nothing else to say. I'm tempted just to dunk the whole damn thing in a bunch of stain and then sand it down. Meh I'm too picky. Started on a few mags too, the G&P mid cap VN mags I had for my SPR turn out just like the reciever, and look like old school steel mags. Sad part is I can't do it to any of my MAG 100 rounders.
