I love them with scopes too... But more along the lines of reflex and red-dots I have nothing else to say. Not so much rifle scopes.

I prefer a nice red dot, too, but that'll have to wait. I don't work through the winter, so I don't have the cash as of now.

Nice gun. Always ran a scope on my G36, and I had to deal with the naysayers too =p Stick to your guns brotha =D
Not sure If I like the high rise, tho.. Always had mine low-profile, with front sight removed. But to each his own. I dig the Tracer and paintjob tho =) Is it just me, or does the tracer tilt a bit towards the ground? Might just be the angle of the pictures, but those things BLOW for staying straight.

why and by whom did you get it painted? Did the paint job myself, actually. First gun I ever did, so I'm not complaining about the results. I went with high-rise mounts for two reasons: they were more readily available to me and were less expensive, and I couldn't decide which I liked more. As for the silencer (which is what I think you were referring to), I think it must just be the pics. I never noticed any un-straightness before...

Very nice. Troy, nothing ever beats a black AK47

Maybe if it were a truly black AK, but yours is so messed up (especially with the taping of the battery), that this easily wins.
Anyways, it looks a touch darker in person, but there's also a couple of wear points starting, mainly by the stock. I contemplated a flat clear coat, but decided to just leave it. I can do a bit of touch up here and there if need be.
