Hey fellas, I've begun a new theme. I'm in no way tired of my Vietnam garb, but shy of a few insignificant purchases, it's complete. Newly found infatuations have led me to my next collecting spree. I've decided to go for the Axis Fallschirmjager theme. I've only made one purchase so far but pending a lot of research and cash, it should start to come together soon enough. Check out the 3rd pattern jump smock I got: It's a replica made by Sturm of the third pattern fallschirmjager jump smock in German splinter camo. It comes with a gravity knife pocket, a built-in flare gun holster, ventilated underarms, snaps to fasten it around your legs to wear a parachute harness, and a bunch of other installed niceties.

Ventilated Underarms? Wow, Thats pretty shnazzy. Is it that light or is it the flash of the camera? Because what should be brown looks red.

I can't wait to see what you do with the rest of this Nighty, since your Vietnam impression is so thorough. Contact Hado if you need any help, he's been trying to get some Axis stuff together for some time.

Thomas, the ventilated underarms are pretty sweet but it's really not the best garment to wear when you wanna keep warm. It keeps the rain off kind of nice. The picture is pretty bright. It looks darker in person but I need to wear it in a bit.
Jacko, thanks for your admiration. I intend on going as all-out with this getup as I did with my nam gear. Dummy grenades, load bearing gear, pouches, LW field blouse, the whole nine yards. It'll just take a lot more research, time, effort, and cash to get everything together. Sturm makes some pretty sweet replicas. I plan on picking up their bandoleer and jump pants pretty soon. The one thing I'm afraid I may not be able to find is a gravity knife.
I saw Hado's axis gear pic in the accoutrements thread. It looks pretty sweet.
I'll update when more significant purchases come my way. The bandoleer, pants, and helmet are next on my list. Until then, Du werdest ein krankschwester brauchen!
Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks, Orion. I saw a website for a group of fellas that are strictly fallschirmjager re-enactors. I got a lot of my research material from their site. I'll get the link up later.
Rustpot, thanks for all the auctions. As I've come to find, the gravity kives are about 80-100 for a replica and around 900 for an original. It'll be one of the last things on my list, mostly because it's impractical on the airsoft field anyway. Those dummy grenades are sweet. I'll pick a few up as soon as I have the ilce to put them in.
My look will start coming together as soon as I man up and make the purchases.
