ok, so the popular thing with all of us from livonia is laser engraving your stuff, so i went and 8$ later came home with all this. The crest... i belive 2 inches tall, came out that well, I am going to sand the colt symbol off my reciver and get it about 3 inches tall over it, it will be fully legible next time. Hell yeah. Byers is my last name. oh... sexyness, too bad its the wrong size supressor ;D i think thats worth way way more than 8$. if you sent it somewhere else a single engraving is most likely 20$ alone. 2 teenagers running a 20 thousand dollar peice of machinery... i think we did a good job

Very nice. Of all of it, the 1911 slide looks the best IMHO. However, it is quite impressive that the process worked on a curved surface (silencer).

Does this work better on some materials? I.E. a plastic slide or whatnot, will it be deep and rough, and metal shallow and clean? Or is it adjustable? I'm laser retarted so fill me in.

The slide on the .45 is plastic, and the supressor is obviously anodized aluminum. With plastic it is at less of a power and simply digs in a very small amount.
With metal, there is a special bonding stuff that they put on the metal to be able to paint it (paint doesnt stick to metal well) and the laser removes the coating, but it actually looks like its pressed on there because its white.
the laser is so good that if you try and do a very pixilated picture, it will come out pixilated.
when i go to do the crest on my SPR i will take some pictures of the machine.
I belive he will soon accept orders and laser engrave your stuff and ship it back. Hes probably going to make a bundle off this.

Does the machine cost anything for him to run it?

He is charging 5 dollar set up fee, and 1.50 a minute after the first 5 minutes of laser time. I did the same thing with my mags. I was the tester to see if it would come out nice

Wow, looks great. The trades could pass off as a real company. Great job. Dammit. Now that Bloodmoney came out, I HAVE to make me some Silenced 47style hardballers, trade included . Any idea if this is just a temp thing? Or if it'll be around for a while?

The shop is owned by his dad, and his dad has given him permission to use it and sell stuff out of it. So, it will be around as long at he is there. He doesn't have an account on MIA, only on SEMIA, but I'll tell him to make one.
