I heard that those Thermold mags melt in Real-Steel guns if you use them a lot.
But I could be wrong.

No, they don't melt. I had 6 plastic HK mags I got from some SAS guys in Iraq, and they went through some hell. Never had one problem with them. The spring is so much better than the regular aluminum crappy issue mags, and the load stays level, doesnt dip like the issue mags can.
Making it into a Systema mag, ANYTHING can be done. Can you take the internals out of the sytema mags??

Ive got a 40 rounder for my ar15 that is the same type of mag with the green follower, im having some issues with it being tight in the magwell. hopefully it will break in. I also had to sand the follower a little bit so it would slide nice.

I don't get the whole thermal mag thing. Why are they so popular? Whats so special about them? The metal ones seems to be thinner and lighter. The thermals seem to be so damn bulky.
What am I missing Gunslinger?
